As Port continues to scale, we are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to partner with our Account Executives across mid-market and enterprise territories. You will lead the technical strategy for high-stakes deals, applying a unique blend of engineering rigor and strategic sales intuition. At Port, you do more than just deliver demos; you translate complex infrastructure into tangible business value, ensuring our platform's impact is understood by every stakeholder from DevOps to the C-suite.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical execution of complex enterprise sales cycles with 6–7 figure ACVs, navigating multiple stakeholders and high-stakes requirements.
- Lead technical POCs and tailored product demonstrations that map Port’s capabilities to specific customer pain points, ensuring prospects clearly see the platform's full value proposition.
- Work with Account Executives to define and fine-tune sales strategies, integrating technical insights.
- Provide feedback to our Engineering and Product teams, sharing front-line intel about customer needs and market demands.
- Engage in continuous learning, ensuring you're always up to speed on our latest product enhancements and the wider market landscape.
Who you’ll work with
You’ll bridge the gap between technical complexity and sales strategy. By providing deep technical expertise during the sales cycle, you’ll help turn prospects into partners. You’ll be a regular contributor to product strategy and a key participant in forecasting, working directly alongside our Engineering team and executive leadership.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar Sales Engineering role
- Hands on experience with developer tools, CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to break down complex subjects in a relatable manner.
- A passion for selling with a keen sense of how technology addresses business needs.
- In-depth understanding of our product suite, and the ability to demonstrate them effectively.
- Problem-solving prowess, anticipating technical challenges and addressing them proactively.
- A collaborative spirit, eager to work alongside sales, engineering, and product teams to ensure Port's maximum market impact.
- Ability to work a hybrid model out of our London office
