Job Description

The Data Center Technical Solution Engineer is responsible for the successful development and execution of a technical solutions program. This key sales solutions & engineering leader will evidence a track record of measurable sophisticated solutions and engineering experience. A strategic problem solver and specialist at tactical execution with strong communication and presentation skills across the spectrum of technical, finance and up to C-Level executives. Experience with data centers and Cloud architecture , colocation, interconnection, cloud, managed solutions, and professional services preferred. Customer focus is a must!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the Sales & Solutions Engineering activities for our DC / cloud & AI customers

  • Supporting Sales Team in all aspect of project: Presales, Contract (technical part), Client technical conversation

  • Technical single point of contact to the Client (per assigned project) – driving and managing Client requirements and making sure they are in line with Company Business Directions

  • Actively participate in the RFP process with our customers

  • Coordinate with all other Departments in the Company in creating business case analysis

  • Providing accurate sales forecasting to the business

  • Maintain a current understanding of the build schedule of all developments across EMEA by collaborating with the New Site Development Department and Delivery Team

  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to Solutions Engineering by building and growing the role to meet the needs of NDG and its customers

  • Prepares and delivers technical proposals, design architectural overviews, and assists in customer site visits

  • Responsible for driving opportunities by supporting Sales teams in designing, positioning, and proving technology solutions

  • Articulates and conducts in-depth product feature benefit discussions as they relate to data center offerings

  • Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements

  • Engages in detailed network, power, cooling, and space assessment of customer's current and proposed IT environments

  • Prepares and delivers technical proposals, design architectural overviews, and assists with in-depth guided tours of facilities for existing and potential customers

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor/Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience is required

  • Significant experience in Data Center Infrastructure solution sales, marketing, and management

  • Hands on approach

  • CAD / Visio / Cadence / CFD

  • Teamwork and cooperation

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Positive attitude towards assigned tasks

  • Ability to work in dynamic environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with and present information to the team

  • Orientation to detail with the ability to see the big picture

  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to change priorities daily

  • Inquisitive mindset

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships effectively

  • Drive for continuous improvement

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability
