Jewson a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is looking for a Senior Sales Advisor who's as passionate about great service as we are.

Location: Jewson, Wellington Cres, New Malden, KT3 3NE.

Hours: 7:00am - 16:30pm or 7:30am - 17:00pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8am-12pm.

What you’ll be doing: 

Our Senior Sales Advisor's are an important contributor to the teams shared success and an essential part of our Customers positive experience with us. In order to support our customers and deliver a great service you will;

  • Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions.

  • Develop great relationships with new and existing Customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible.

  • Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth.

  • Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.

  • Maximising customer interactions to support achievement of sales and profit targets through upselling and cross-selling relevant products, offering specific product advice.

  • Getting to know our suppliers and continuously looking for opportunities to improve product and industry knowledge.

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow sales, setting clear objectives for the team and maximising growth through cross selling and leveraging our solutions such as Project Estimator and Tool Hire.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • In depth knowledge of building materials, construction-related products and the merchant industry including local market dynamics and competitor activity. 

  • Sound awareness of commercial metrics (margin, pricing, conversion rates, sales forecasting, etc.) with ability to interpret data, identify trends, and take action to improve performance. 

  • We are looking for a team player with a desire to succeed.

  • A background in Sales with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets would be preferable.

  • Self motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Strong communication and commercial awareness to be able to provide great customer service.
