Job Summary

The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for revenue recognition processes, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities. This role will collaborate cross-functionally with the team to streamline revenue-related processes and optimize financial reporting accuracy.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensure revenue is recognized accurately and in compliance with ASC 606 (Subscription & Contract Revenue) and company policies.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and reports to support the monthly and quarterly financial close process.
  • Manage deferred revenue schedules, validate billing processes, and ensure alignment between revenue recognition and invoicing.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate proposed changes.
  • Identify ways to streamline accounting operations and ways to improve department performance.
  • Understand and adapt to various accounting software platforms and assist with
    implementation of systems.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Record accounting information in a professional and detailed manner.
  • Develop and enforce AR policies and procedures.
  • Heavy involvement in revenue recognition procedures and AR/billing oversight
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in accounting/finance
  • Experience working in B2B SaaS
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with Netsuite
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with clients/customers.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software applications.
