What You'll Do
- Develop team strategy and vision— Provide direction to the Platform Research team in an environment passionate about efficiency and business impact
- Coordinate with Design, Insights, and Studio leads— Represent the field in leadership forums to influence strategy and source project ideas
- Prioritize work across the mission— Identifying opportunities for high impact research work and prioritizing them with the research team based on clear criteria
- Lead research education programs— Plan and facilitate educational programs to upskill and empower non-URs in Platform to conduct their own research
- Handle research operations for Platform— Manage user reimbursements, tool access, and GDPR compliance for Platform in the absence of a centralized Spotify Research-Ops team
- Provide transparency to leadership— Share updates about user research happening across the mission to mission leadership so the work is recognized and rewarded
- Enhance team morale and foster a sense of belonging— Coordinate team events to encourage team involvement, share domain knowledge and build a strong team connection
- Contribute to the Insights/UR practice at Spotify— Connect with UR managers across Spotify to share ways of working and ensure consistency between teams
Who You Are
- You have extensive experience as a user researcher, ideally with experience working on enterprise software and/or highly sophisticated domains, such as developer tooling.
- You have proven experience demonstrating your ability in people management and leadership.
- You are passionate about mentoring and supporting continuous development.
- You love solving problems collectively with other partners and teams. You are passionate about driving projects, leading solutions for big projects and not scared of having difficult conversations.
- You’re a superb communicator with experience demonstrating the value of user research in an organization.
- You deeply value and have experience with hiring, coaching, and leading diverse and successful teams.
Where You'll Be
- This role is based in London or Stockholm.
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
