We are looking for intellectually curious team players with strong quantitative skills to join our office in London. From day one as a Senior Research Analyst (Senior RA) in our Competition practice, you will participate in project teams with senior consulting staff and leading industry experts, analysing complex matters such as mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, abuse of dominance, etc.

Brattle offers a diverse, stimulating, and collegial environment. Your career with Brattle begins with a weeklong training at our headquarters in Boston where you will learn Brattle’s best practices on how to build economic models, write code, and tackle complex economic problems. At the same time, you will develop an international network of like-minded peers through activities like scavenger hunts, dinner cruises, and much more! Professional development continues through ongoing training in topics ranging from programming to the structure and regulation of specific industry sectors.

A typical day for Brattle Senior RAs includes:

  • Combining economic theory and industry knowledge to solve real problems
  • Diving into data, using statistical analyses to extract information from messy data
  • Constructing models from a blend of theoretical concepts to answer complex questions
  • Reviewing literature and industry trends to understand the debate around key developments
  • Conducting statistical analysis and working with data using tools such as Stata, R, Excel or Python
  • Auditing and contributing to the creation of financial, economic, and operational models

An ideal Brattle Senior RA has:

  • A Master's degree in economics or other quantitative subjects with strong economics/competition elements and 2-3 years of work experience in consulting or a similar industry
  • Exceptional analytical skills (data analysis experience using STATA is essential. Software such as Excel and R is a plus)
  • Interest and understanding of antitrust cases (monopolies, abuse of dominance, cartels)
  • Passion for creative problem-solving; ability to communicate complex concepts effectively
  • Fluency in English (professional proficiency in another European language is a plus)

We will only consider applications including a CV, transcript and cover letter submitted via our website. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
