The Senior Release QA will oversee the QA processes for software releases, provide detailed reports on release readiness, conduct various tests, and manage documentation related to testing. This role reports to the QA Director
What will you do?
- Oversee the QA process for software releases
- Provide clear and detailed reports on release readiness, including bug status, test coverage, and unresolved issues.
- Identify, document, and prioritize critical bugs and blockers related to the release.
- Conduct all release checks and determine the quality of the release and its readiness for production.
- Design and execute manual test cases to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
- Conduct functional, regression, and compatibility testing.
- Configure and set up versions for playtests to ensure proper functionality and alignment with testing requirements.
- Test documentation design and maintenance (cases, check-lists).
What are we looking for?
- Experience in QA directly supporting a software development team.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, processes, and best practices.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive problem-solving attitude and good communication skills.
- Experience in test documentation preparation (test plans, suites, scenarios, and checklists).
- Optimisation and introduction of processes in release QA
- Understanding of technologies such as Git, P4, Kibana.
- Basic understanding of technologies such as Teamcity, Docker.
What additional skills will help you stand out?
- Experience in game development projects (an MMOFPS project would be an advantage).
- Knowledge of the Unreal Engine or Unity.

Hybrid - 3x per week from our Guildford Studio
