Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Food Quality Controller who will support with checking the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as the production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business.

The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In-depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential. The goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment. That way our customers will enjoy high-quality service so that we can achieve long-term success.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the preventive QC checks and generate daily scores and highlights.
  • Maintain records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation
  • Generate the weekly, monthly reports, and scorecards.
  • Formulate procedures to inspect and report quality issues
  • Monitor all operations that affect the quality
  • Implementing preventative measures to prevent all types of hazards
  • Ensuring all required audits, inspections, and other activities are met regularly and submitted on time.
  • Conduct SQA audits and share reports with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Investigate the received complaints and conduct root cause analysis to set the needed CAs.
  • Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with quality standards
  • Lead the implementation of Food Quality strategy, goals, and objectives
  • Implement, and maintain food safety goals, objectives, policies, and procedures such as HACCP, sanitation, temperature logs, cleaning list, etc
  • Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and finished products.
  • Ensure all local governmental standards are met
  • Identifies quality defects, food safety issues and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends solutions to these issues
  • Train the team on food safety and implement policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations
  • Ensure work environments are adequate and safe
  • Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
  • Must have the ability to drive quality and food safety culture and lead the quality and food safety agenda
  • Ensuring products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards.

Ideal Candidate

  • Has a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, or any other relevant degree.
  • General knowledge of methodologies of quality standard
  • Extensive knowledge of AIBI and BRCGS standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK food regulatory and statutory requirement
  • Have at least 3-4 years of hands-on Q&FS experience.
