This role is full-time and offers home working flexibility.
Your future tasks will include

• Leading the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks and suites.
• Ensuring automation coverage across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Collaborating with developers to ensure coverage on service, component layers.
• Collaborating with developers, QAs, and DevOps to embed test automation in CI/CD pipelines.
• Reviewing test strategies and mentoring team members on automation best practices.
• Analyzing test results, identifying bottlenecks, and driving continuous improvements in QA processes.
• Taking ownership of automation architecture decisions and influencing the overall quality strategy.

You’re going to need this to be successful in this role

• Solid programming skills in JavaScript for automation development.
• Proven experience with the automation framework Playwright.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test design, and QA best practices.
• Hands-on experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., BitBucket, GitHub Actions, Jenkins etc).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to design scalable test strategies for complex systems (microservices, distributed apps, or multi-platform products).
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented and quality-first mindset.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and mentor.

It’s nice if you also have

• Experience with performance, security, or reliability testing.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Sentry, Kibana).
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and testing strategies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Contribution to open-source testing tools or frameworks.
• Prior experience as tech lead or in coaching QA and Automation teams.
