The Role:


The Senior Project Manager plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of large-scale Oracle Retail and omni-channel implementation projects. This position requires a proven leader capable of managing complex, multi-stream programs while aligning stakeholders and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, all while maintaining the highest levels of client satisfaction.  


Operating within a global delivery environment, the Senior Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams across multiple regions, ensuring consistency in execution and adherence to OLR's delivery methodologies. This role demands strong commercial awareness, effective stakeholder management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of the software delivery lifecycle.



In this role, you'll: 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and governance of large-scale Oracle Retail or enterprise technology implementations. 
  • Define and manage project scope, deliverables, timelines, and budgets to meet client and internal objectives. 
  • Establish robust project governance, ensuring effective risk, issue, and change management. 
  • Oversee project plans and progress against KPIs, applying corrective actions where needed. 
  • Ensure all documentation, reporting, and communication meet OLR and client standards. 
  • Serve as the primary liaison for senior client stakeholders, building trusted, long-term relationships. 
  • Lead executive meetings and steering committees, ensuring clear communication of status and strategy. 
  • Collaborate with internal leaders, consultants, and technical teams to align project outcomes with business goals. 
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate multi-disciplinary teams across regions, fostering accountability and continuous improvement. 
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and profitability, ensuring financial transparency and alignment with delivery milestones. 
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for additional service offerings and scope expansion. 
  • Ensure consistent application of OLR methodologies, quality standards, and best practices. 
  • Capture lessons learned and champion continuous process improvements and agile delivery principles. 

 

Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 
  • 8+ years of experience in IT or software project management, including 5+ years managing large-scale enterprise Oracle Retail implementations. 
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-country or multi-phase technology projects on time and within budget. 
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional and distributed teams in a global delivery environment. 
  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) and PM best practices. 
  • Exceptional stakeholder and client management skills, including experience with C-level executives. 
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities. 
  • Commercially astute with experience in project financial management and forecasting. 
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, and MS Office suite. 
  • PMP, Prince2, or Agile Project Management certification strongly preferred. 
  • This role may require domestic and international travel to support project delivery across regions.
