Your Mission 💪

The Project Management Office (PMO) is dedicated to delivering a wide range of Professional Services. Our expertise includes, but is not limited to, IT Networking and Security, Datacentre, Cloud computing and transformational projects.  As a part of the broader Professional Services department, the PMO collaborates closely with a highly skilled technical team to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction. This collaborative approach allows us to tackle complex challenges and drive successful project outcomes.

What you’ll be doing 🎯
  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of a large, complex SDA project for a key customer.
  • Plan and manage project scope, timelines, resources, budgets, and governance.
  • Oversee project financials, including forecasting, billing milestones, and budget adherence.
  • Lead multi‑disciplinary project teams, including consultants, engineers, coordinators, partners, and third parties.
  • Act as the primary customer and stakeholder contact, providing clear, timely updates and managing expectations.
  • Manage project changes, risks, and issues through structured controls, RAID logs, and mitigation actions.
  • Produce and maintain all required project documentation in line with our business methodology.
  • Prepare and present regular status, financial, and risk reports to senior management.
  • Drive effective communication across all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, reviews, and checkpoints to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Ensure accurate progress tracking, reporting, and revenue/resource forecasting.
  • Maintain logs, reports, and documentation on the agreed shared platform.
  • Coordinate internal and external delivery resources to ensure seamless execution.
  • Mentor and support project team members to foster collaboration and performance.
  • Identify and present well‑considered solutions, options, and impacts for decision‑making.
  • Proactively resolve project challenges and escalate when necessary.
  • Support continuous improvement and adopt changes that enhance PMO processes.
What experience we think you’ll need 🚀
  • Proven experience of delivering and leading complex and diverse IT projects and programmes to paying customers to time, cost and quality
  • Knowledge of service management best practices
  • Have a good command of all MS Office applications, particularly MS Word and MS Excel for report generation
  • Previous project manager experience within a fast-paced IT technology environment
  • Experience taking full accountability for planning, structuring, leading, financial management of all assigned projects
  • Experience with taking full responsibility for managing entire project teams
  • Experience of managing projects with budgets of £2 million+
  • Networking, infrastructure, application deployment and IT experience
  • Experience interacting with stakeholders at all levels courteously and efficiently to provide information and resolve problems
  • Experience with the creation of project documentation
  • Experience with the presentation and communication of project documentation to board level
  • Strong understanding of the role of governance and ability to tailor to suit the requirements of the project / customer
  • Have a strong understanding of the core technical competencies within CAE
