The summary above was generated by AI
At JetBrains, we’re building an AI-native platform for software development that consolidates developer workflows, team-level collaboration, and organizational control into a single coherent
system. This platform will serve as the execution and governance layer for AI-driven development. It’s deeply integrated with developer tools but designed to work across teams, products, and environments. This is a long-term strategic investment for JetBrains and a key pillar of our vision for the future of software development.
JetBrains Air is the agentic development environment (ADE) within the platform where developers and teams collaborate on agent-driven development and build structured automated workflows.
Air team is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to help developers understand, adopt, and succeed with Air in their daily agentic development workflows. In this role, you will work at the intersection of product, developer experience, and go-to-market to ensure Air’s capabilities are clearly understood and effectively adopted by developers. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and marketing teams to translate product capabilities into clear positioning and practical guidance.

Responsibilities

Product positioning and messaging:

  • Drive Air positioning together with product teams and keep it coherent as the product evolves.
  • Clarify what problems Air solves, how it fits into modern agentic development workflows, and communicate this value effectively to the market.
  • Support the overall narrative around Air within the JetBrains developer ecosystem.
  • Act as a source of truth for product messaging and materials for developer advocates, marketing, sales, and customer success teams.
  • Analyze the agentic developer tool landscape to keep Air’s positioning and messaging competitive and relevant to the market.

Onboarding and adoption:

  • Improve the developer onboarding experience and activation journey.
  • Identify friction points in the adoption funnel and work with product teams to address them.
  • Own product education and adoption and develop materials and guidance that help developers get started with Air and discover more advanced workflows over time.
  • Bring developer insights and market feedback to the product team to help shape product direction.

Product communication:

  • Coordinate the go-to-market strategy for Air launches and major updates.
  • Define use cases, target scenarios, and rollout strategies.
  • Explain new capabilities to developers in a clear and practical way.
  • Ensure internal teams have the knowledge and materials needed to represent Air effectively.
  • Help develop internal product ambassadors by building strong product knowledge across the company.

What we expect from you
  • Experience in product marketing for technical products aimed at developers, data scientists, ML engineers, or similar audiences.
  • A strong understanding of modern developer workflows.
  • The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Experience launching products or major features.
  • An analytical mindset and comfort working with product data.
  • Strong collaboration skills across product, engineering, and marketing teams.
  • The ability to create clear product materials in both written and video formats.

What we offer
  • The opportunity to help shape Air, JetBrains’ new agentic development environment (ADE), and influence an emerging category in developer tools.
  • A collaborative team that values ownership, autonomy, and initiative.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
