Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced product marketer to support D2L’s international product marketing team. Your mission is to tap into your entrepreneurial spirit to develop and execute successful go-to-market strategies for products and services in a new line of business. You will champion an iterative approach using continuous experimentation and learning to achieve strong product-market fit and well-differentiated value propositions. You will develop messaging to communicate value at every stage of the customer journey—from awareness through evaluation and trial to adoption and advocacy—contributing to the continued growth of our business.  

As a key member of the product marketing team, you are a great collaborator, product champion, customer advocate, and inspiring storyteller. You bring knowledge, creativity, and passion to the role as you work to build awareness of new products in both internal and external stakeholders. At a high level, you will:  

  • Partner with new product development teams to develop a deep understanding of our market, segments, buyers, and competitors 
  • Create unique and clearly articulated value propositions  
  • Implement go-to-market strategies that drive demand, customer adoption, and success  
  • Craft compelling content to support the customer journey  
  • Amplify the voice of our customers by telling their stories 
  • Equip our teams for success—prep Integrated Marketing to run campaigns and build tools to enable Sales to launch new products 
  • Leverage data insights to learn, adapt, and thrive 

How You’ll Make an Impact:  

  • Drive the go-to-market strategy and execution for new solutions across all regions: 
    • Develop a deep understanding of target markets and buyers 
    • Use market research, data, customer touchpoints, and competitive intelligence to validate new opportunities and inform product roadmap, packaging, pricing, positioning, and messaging  
    • Create and maintain a value proposition framework that connects the needs of our buyers with our solution and clearly articulates the unique value of using our products to help solve their most pressing challenges  
    • Be the voice of the market—leverage and promote the value proposition framework as the foundation for consistent and well-differentiated messaging that resonates in the markets we serve 
  • Build strong partnerships and close working relationships across the organization: 
    • Working with Product Management:  
      • Develop a strong understanding of new products, features, and services 
      • Create core assets that communicate the value of the solutions, including website landing pages, slides, one-pagers, and videos 
      • Identify new product and market opportunities  
    • Working with Strategic Communications, Creative, Revenue Marketing and Integrated Marketing: 
      • Expand our brand to include new product lines 
      • Promote our brand and represent D2L’s voice in the markets we serve  
      • Support campaign themes by crafting compelling content—including infographics, white papers, case studies, blog posts, and customer stories—that helps engage and inspire at every stage in the customer journey  
    • Working with Sales and Customer Engagement, ensure that the organization is ready to sell, deliver, and support new products  
    • Working with International Teams, ensure that the organization is supported in various campaigns and go-to-market initiatives  
  • Develop dashboards and reports to deliver clear insights on product marketing activities and use analytics to adapt, learn, and grow faster

What You'll Bring to the Role: 

  • Proven experience in product marketing —SaaS experience preferred but not required 
  • Consistent track record of successfully positioning, messaging, and launching products across a broad range of customer types and geographies 
  • Ability to think about the big picture to drive strategic organization-wide initiatives with a keen eye for the details required to see them to completion 
  • Expertise in distilling complex concepts and ideas into clear and concise narratives to communicate with potential customers, partners, and market influencers 
  • High-impact storytelling skills that evoke emotion and inspire action 
  • Robust presentation skills, including for communicating to the senior executive team 
  • Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams 
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills  
  • Ability to anticipate and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced and rapidly growing organization
