Come onboard and help craft how real-world games are positioned and presented to the world! You will build and drive regional product marketing strategies for one of the biggest mobile games ever - Pokémon GO. Part creative, part analytical, this role will make you flex your strategic and tactical muscle to help launch and run campaigns, drive growth, increase retention and build user happiness in our quest to get the world exploring more with our games. Niantic’s games are distinct from typical casual mobile games, and so is our marketing strategy. You’ll be responsible for leading an array of initiatives across multiple player touchpoints. And, most meaningfully, you’ll have tons of fun.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Country Marketing Managers in the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy
  • Adapt global product positioning so that marketing initiatives are reflective of cultural and behavioral nuance
  • Define and implement go-to-market, engagement & retention strategies in close coordination with cross-functional teams
  • Build relationships with key internal and external collaborators, both regionally and with distributed global teams
  • Work closely with live event / experiential teams to ensure our real-life events are delivered and marketed to the highest standards of quality and impact
  • Analyze and interpret product and marketing metrics; suggest improvements or revised marketing strategies and tactics, where/when relevant.
  • Take ownership of the EMEA product marketing roadmap and corresponding critical metrics, providing regular updates on progress to senior management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Marketing, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant marketing experience (ideally in F2P/freemium businesses on mobile)
  • Experience of directly leading teams of agile, high-performing product marketers
  • Experience with highly cross-functional teams and the ability to lead complex projects with multiple partners and priorities across time zones
  • Extensive knowledge of the mobile marketing mix, including UA, performance marketing, content management, social media, community management, influencer partnerships, and direct marketing channels
  • Ability to develop the right systems and ways of working so our agency partners are delivering efficiently against our key objectives
  • Online data measurement and analysis of products, customers, and local markets (ideally in the mobile apps/gaming space).
  • High levels of commercial acuity and awareness
  • Strong leadership, initiative, with outstanding communication skills
  • Passionate about analyzing products, customers and market dynamics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice

Plus If...

  • Passionate about Niantic games!
