As a Senior Product Manager (12-month fixed-term contract), you will play a central role in shaping innovative, intelligent products that solve complex challenges and deliver meaningful impact for our customers. With a strong focus on AI, you will identify where adaptive, data-driven solutions outperform traditional approaches, guiding the development of products and agents that learn, evolve and respond to real user needs.

You will lead with confidence and curiosity, owning the full product lifecycle while nurturing a collaborative, empowered team culture. Your experience and insight will help position E.ON Next at the forefront of the energy industry, driving forward-thinking strategies and championing responsible, human-centred AI innovation.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:

  • Setting clear priorities and aligning your team around the most valuable opportunities and complex challenges in the product landscape

  • Developing a deep, empathetic understanding of your users, market dynamics, and product ecosystem

  • Owning the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery through to delivery, shaping both AI-powered and non-AI solutions

  • Designing and guiding intelligent, adaptive products and agentic systems, navigating the AI Product Development Lifecycle with confidence

  • Using data, insights, and experimentation to inform decisions, continuously improving product performance and user experience

  • Championing your product vision, confidently influencing and inspiring stakeholders across the organisation

  • Leading complex, high-impact initiatives while coaching and supporting more junior colleagues

  • Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing, including leading a product guild

Are we the perfect match?

  • Around 5 years’ experience in product management, ideally within agile discovery and delivery environments

  • Experience identifying and solving problems where AI provides clear advantages over deterministic software

  • Proven ability to work closely with UX/UI specialists and technical teams, using modern discovery practices

  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies, particularly AI, and how to apply them responsibly in product development

  • Experience building safe, ethical, and responsible AI solutions, including defining appropriate levels of autonomy and risk management

  • Experience transforming customer and business processes using agentic or AI-driven technologies

  • Confident communicator who collaborates effectively and influences with clarity and empathy

It would be great if you had:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience

  • Experience working within the energy sector or similarly complex, regulated industries

  • Familiarity with experimentation techniques such as A/B testing or simulation-based validation

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a product-led organisation

  • A passion for mentoring, coaching, and supporting the growth of others

  • Experience contributing to or leading product communities or guilds

  • A strong interest in ethical AI and human-centred design principles

Here’s what else you need to know:

  • Role may close earlier due to high applications

  • Fixed term contract length – 12 months

  • Competitive salary

  • Location – London or Nottingham with travel to our other sites when required.

  • Excellent parental leave allowance.

  • Award-Winning Workplace - We’re proud to be named a Sunday Times Best Place to Work 2025 and the Best Place to Work for 16–34-year-olds

  • Outstanding Benefits - Enjoy 26 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, a generous pension, life cover, bonus opportunities and access to 20 flexible benefits with tax/NI savings

  • Flexible & Family-Friendly - Our industry-leading hybrid and family-friendly policies earned us double recognition at the Personnel Today Awards 2024. We’re open to discussing how flexibility can work for you

  • Inclusive & Diverse - We’re the only energy company in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers. We’re also proud winners of Best Employer for Women and Human Company of the Year—recognising our inclusive, people-first culture

  • Support at Every Stage of Life - We’re Fertility Friendly and Menopause Friendly accredited, with inclusive support for everyone

  • Accessible & Supportive - Do you consider yourself as having a disability? As a Disability Confident Employer, we guarantee interviews for disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the role and will make any adjustments needed during the process

  • Invested in Your Growth - From inclusive talent networks to top-tier development programmes, we’ll support your growth every step of the way

  • For all successful candidates.  Due to the nature of this role your employment will be subject to a basic DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check being carried out by ourselves via a 3rd party service provider
