Job Description

Senior Product Manager — Investments

London, UK (Hybrid: 3 days in office)

About IG Group

We're IG Group — a FTSE 250 FinTech with 340,000+ active clients across 18 countries. We run mobile, web, and desktop platforms for stocks & shares, leveraged products, futures, options, and crypto.

We're scaling our investment platform business and looking for a senior product manager who knows how retail investors think, what drives them to invest, and how to build products they'll love.

The Role

Own the product strategy and execution for your vertical within IG Investments. You'll define the roadmap, discover what customers need, and ship features that drive growth and engagement.

This is a high-ownership role where your decisions directly impact business outcomes.

What You'll Do;

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define product vision and multi-quarter roadmap for investment products aligned to business objectives
  • Make strategic build vs. buy vs. partner decisions based on customer needs and technical feasibility
  • Drive competitive intelligence and translate market insights into differentiated product propositions

Discovery & Delivery

  • Run discovery to validate customer problems and solution approaches before building
  • Partner with engineering and design to scope, prioritize, and ship features with quality and speed
  • Define success metrics and optimize relentlessly based on evidence and data

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Navigate regulatory requirements and translate compliance needs into seamless customer experiences
  • Influence stakeholders across product, engineering, legal, compliance, marketing, and senior leadership
  • Work comfortably with APIs, backend infrastructure, and platform integrations
What You Need

Essential:

  • 3-5+ years shipping customer-facing investment products at a brokerage, investment platform, or neobroker
  • Passion for investing — you understand investor behaviour because you're an investor yourself
  • Obsession with world-class customer journeys and outcomes — you sweat the details that make experiences feel effortless
  • Regulatory intuition — you can navigate compliance constraints while maintaining great UX
  • Evidence and data-driven — you define metrics, run experiments, and make calls based on what works
  • Strong customer empathy -  proven ability to identify opportunities and ship features that move the needle
  • Excellent stakeholder management - you influence without authority and drive alignment
  • Comfortable with technical discussions -  APIs, integrations, and platform architecture

Preferred:

  • Interest or experience building AI-powered investment features
  • Worked on platform partnerships or white-label integrations
  • Built products serving both novice investors and sophisticated traders

Not a fit if your experience is primarily:

  • B2B platforms, treasury systems, or compliance tools
  • You haven't shipped features directly used by retail investors
