Bupa Global is the international health insurance division of Bupa. We provide customers who want premium international coverage with products and services to access the healthcare they need anytime, around the world, whether at home or when studying, living, travelling or working abroad.

Bupa Global has offices around the world including London and Brighton (UK), Dublin (Europe), Miami (USA), Dubai (UAE, in partnership with Sukoon), Egypt and Hong Kong (China) as well as regional offices in mainland China, Singapore, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Panama, Guatemala and Ecuador.

The role:

In this critical leadership role, you’ll be accountable for shaping and driving our global IPMI product portfolio across four key regions. You’ll ensure our products continue to meet the evolving needs of target customers, deliver exceptional experiences, and achieve strong commercial performance. Leading a team of Product Managers, you will define and implement local product proposition strategies that align to a coordinated global vision — enabling growth, innovation, and competitive differentiation

This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a global scale—shaping the future of our product portfolio and leading a talented team to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers and the business. If you’re a strategic product leader with a passion for innovation and making a real difference to people’s lives across the world, we’d love to hear from you.

How you’ll help us make health happen

  • Shape Strategy: Define and implement local product strategies across our four key regions, ensuring alignment with global strategy, objectives, and long-term business goals
  • Drive Performance: Act as the champion for local product portfolios, partnering with key stakeholders to deliver improved commercial outcomes and enhanced customer metrics
  • Innovate and Evolve: Prioritise and oversee the development of new or enhanced products to meet identified customer or market needs, delivering measurable growth
  • Customer-Centric Design: Collaborate with a range of teams across the business to create compelling local product propositions that showcase our strengths and differentiate us in the market.
  • Lead and Inspire: Manage and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers; setting clear priorities and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor and analyse local product performance, identifying opportunities for optimisation, rationalisation, and simplification to improve competitiveness and profitability; then work collaboratively to deliver required changes
  • Systems Transformation: Act as the product lead on a major systems re-platforming programme, driving requirements that unlock portfolio improvements and enable future customer-centric product innovation
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay ahead of emerging regulations across regions, ensuring products remain compliant and fit for purpose
  • Strategic Influence: Build strong, collaborative stakeholder relationships across the business, influencing decisions and gaining buy-in for initiatives that deliver sustainable growth.

What you’ll bring

  • Extensive experience managing complex product portfolios, ideally across multiple regulated and global markets, with a proven track record of driving commercial success
  • Strategic leadership capability—able to set direction, develop product strategies, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver impactful initiatives
  • Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop global talent while effectively prioritising and managing team objectives
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, with the confidence and credibility to influence at all levels, challenge constructively, and build lasting relationships across the business
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling ability, using clear, compelling narratives to gain buy-in and support for strategic initiatives.
  • Highly analytical and commercially astute, with strong numerical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Relevant sector experience, ideally within healthcare, insurance, or financial services
  • Sound understanding of IPMI products and markets, with awareness of industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory considerations
