About Salary Finance

Working with employers, we provide a financial wellbeing platform as an employee benefit, helping employees to understand their money better, get out of debt faster and save for their future. We already have a reach of over 4,000,000 employees through our relationships with over 600 of the biggest companies in the UK.

By improving employee financial wellbeing, we have a very real and meaningful impact on people’s lives. We remove the stress and worry associated with financial difficulties by dramatically reducing the interest rates employees pay on their personal debt, and provide them with the tools needed to start saving sooner and be more financially secure. We are backed by some of the biggest brands, including investments from Blenheim Chalcot (the UK’s leading venture builder), Legal and General (the FTSE 100 insurer and asset manager), Experian and Goldman Sachs, and funding partnerships with JP Morgan and Virgin Money.

Launched in 2015, we have made excellent progress, and are scaling fast. We are named BITC’s Responsible Business of Year 2018, included in KPMG’s Global Fintech 100, listed top of the Forbes' list of socially-responsible startups, and profiled by the Financial Times, the Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Guardian, the Telegraph, CityAM and the Institute of Directors.

Your Role in Our Mission

At Salary Finance, we are driven by our mission to improve financial wellbeing and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Product Manager to lead and improve the experience we offer customers after they’ve received their Salary Finance loan. This role is critical in shaping how we support customers to stay in control of their finances and achieve long-term financial health.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the continuous improvement of our loan servicing processes: Work closely with our operations and tech teams to streamline workflows and craft clean processes around each of our (many!) edge cases (e.g. payment schedule changes, early repayments, and payment errors)
  • Promote customer self-service: Enhance our Customer Dashboard (the homepage for our customers once their loan is active) to ensure that customers have the tools they want and need to manage their loan on their own at their finger tips.
  • Drive continuous improvement in collections and recoveries: Work closely with our collections team to build out an engaging and supportive journey for customers who fall behind with their payments.
  • Guarantee compliance: You will help to make sure that customers receive the correct regulatory communications on time, every time.
  • Optimise operational efficiency: Work with operations, legal, and compliance teams to streamline workflow and build automated solutions - all while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Leverage data to drive decision-making: Analyse data to measure success, monitor performance, and inform your decision on the next step towards achieving your objectives.
  • Act as the voice of the customer: Work closely with customers and internal users, to gather insights and ensure that we are always driving improvements for the people that actually use our products.

About You

  • Experience in loan servicing and collections: You have a good understanding of lending and how to support customers after their loan has been disbursed. You are familiar with how a loan schedule works and with collections, forbearance and regulatory communications such as NOSIAs and Annual Statements. Experience working in consumer lending is essential.
  • Product management expertise: You have significant experience as a product manager, driving end-to-end product development in a fintech, financial services, or lending environment.
  • Customer-first mindset: You are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, and you’re able to balance business needs with user needs.
  • Data-driven: You’re analytical, can interpret data with ease, and use it to make product decisions. You can write SQL and are a whiz at Excel.
  • Operationally minded: You understand how to design operational processes that are scalable, efficient, and legally compliant.
  • Stakeholder management: You have a proven track record of working across teams—engineering, design, compliance, risk, and customer service—to deliver exceptional outcomes.
  • Problem-solving mindset: You’re a natural problem solver who’s always looking for better, more efficient ways to do things.

Who you are

We embrace our differences, but there’s one thing we like to share, which is our values, so it’s important to us that you are:

  • Fearless, and able to make the impossible possible.
  • Responsible, and want to help build a business that delivers a meaningful difference to society.
  • Dedicated and want to commit to an exciting journey even through the highs and lows.
  • Empathetic and truly care about every colleague and customer.
  • United, because you understand we achieve more when we work as a team.
  • Humble, and take feedback as a way to continuously improve.

What do you get for all your hard work?

  • Company bonus scheme 💰
  • 25 days holiday with an extra day off on your birthday 🎂
  • Hybrid working arrangements so you can work from the office and from home with a budget to help you get set up 🏠
  • Generous company benefits to include pension and life assurance and an annual allowance to spend on medical insurance, health cash plan, denplan, gym memberships 🤸
  • Enhanced policies that are family and pet friendly, to include company sick pay and peternity leave 🐶
  • Great career development in a fast paced environment 🚀
  • Regular company socials
  • Volunteer days as part of our CSR program 🤝
  • More great perks to include weekly snacks, tuckshop, cycle to work, help to save and much more! 🍭
