Job Description:

Remitly's vision is to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders. Since 2011, we have been tirelessly delivering on our promises to people who send money around the world. Today, we are reimagining global financial services and building products that extend beyond traditional barriers to give customers access to more of the services they need, no matter where they call home. Join over 2,700 employees worldwide who are growing their careers with purpose and connection with our customers while having a positive impact on millions of people around the globe.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager for Marketing AI to lead the development and execution of our AI-driven marketing strategy. You will identify the most impactful opportunities, decide on the optimal build-or-buy approach, and drive adoption of cutting-edge AI initiatives across the company. Your leadership will ensure Remitly leverages AI responsibly and effectively, working closely with Product, Data Science, Engineering, Marketing, and Legal to maintain strict compliance and protect our customers.

This role will report to our Director of Product, Marketing Platform. This is a hybrid position, requiring 50% in-office presence in our London location.

#LI-Hybrid

Examples of initiatives you will champion:

  • Short term - Today, nearly all our marketing content is reviewed manually by the Legal team for accuracy and compliance. We want to provide marketers an automated tool for legal review, thus reducing the time to develop content.
  • Long term - Today, all our marketing opportunities e.g. advertising in the Super Bowl, are identified manually. We want to build a co-pilot that will help marketers identify marketing opportunities

You Will:

  • Strategic AI Development: Define and continuously refine Remitly’s AI marketing roadmap, selecting projects that deliver meaningful business value.
  • Build or Buy: Thoroughly evaluate existing market solutions versus in-house capabilities to ensure the best AI tools are implemented.
  • AI Adoption and Advocacy: Partner with cross-functional teams to embed AI-driven insights into marketing programs, fostering cultural and operational transformation.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee product discovery, design, development, launch, and ongoing iteration for marketing AI solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and others to ensure security, scalability, and regulatory compliance.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of product management experience
  • Proven track record in bringing 0-to-1 products to market
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and provide clear direction
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, legal, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Deep passion for building innovative solutions and addressing complex challenges

Our Benefits:

  • Paid Vacation Days
  • Health insurance
  • Commuter benefit
  • Learning and development benefits
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
  • Mental Health & Family Forming Benefits
  • Corridor Travel Benefit Reimbursement

We are committed to nondiscrimination across our global organization and in all of our business operations. Employment is determined based upon personal capabilities and qualifications without discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, sex, gender identification and expression, marital status, military status or status as an honorably discharge/veteran, pregnancy (including a woman's potential to get pregnant, pregnancy-related conditions, and childbearing), sexual orientation, age (40 and over), national origin, ancestry, citizenship or immigration status, physical, mental, or sensory disability (including the use of a trained dog guide or service animal), HIV/AIDS or hepatitis C status, genetic information, status as an actual or perceived victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking, or any other protected class as established by law.
