Role Summary:

As a Senior Product Manager, you will own the strategy and roadmap for Patsnap’s R&D-focused AI tools, with a mission to help global innovators solve technical problems, generate new ideas, validate solutions, and accelerate the innovation process. You will collaborate closely with engineering, R&D, data science, customer success, and commercial and GTM teams to deliver powerful, practical AI capabilities that further embed innovation methodologies like TRIZ into our product suite. 

In this role, you’ll drive product innovation, translate customer needs into AI-driven solutions, and position Patsnap at the forefront of how technology supports R&D problem-solving and idea generation.

This is a hybrid position in our London, UK office. This role has the option to work hybrid throughout the week or fully in office. 

What You'll be Doing:

  • Own the R&D AI roadmap by defining and delivering the vision for Patsnap’s AI innovation tools, including how TRIZ and other structured problem-solving methodologies are applied to real-world R&D workflows. 
  • Shape product strategy by working with the Head of R&D Solutions to define short, mid, and long-term strategies for embedding AI into the innovation lifecycle from idea generation to feasibility assessment. 
  • Engage with innovators by partnering with R&D, product development, and innovation leaders at client organizations to understand their challenges and shape solutions that help them solve problems faster and more effectively. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, AI research, and UX to ensure product features are intuitive, scalable, and deliver measurable impact in customer innovation processes. 
  • Champion TRIZ in product design by utilizing TRIZ principles and other structured methodologies into usable product workflows that enhance creative problem-solving and technical ideation for customers. 
  • Support commercial growth by partnering with sales and solutions consulting to identify new opportunities, lead workshops with clients and prospects, and demonstrate the value of AI-driven innovation support. This can involve supporting the implementation of custom projects at the customer site. 
  • Monitor the market by analyzing competitors, market trends, and emerging AI techniques to ensure Patsnap remains the leader in AI-enabled innovation management. 
  • Enable internal teams by creating training and collateral to ensure sales, customer success, and account development teams can effectively position and support new R&D AI capabilities. 
  • Become a thought leader for Patsnap and represent Patsnap at industry conferences, panels, and workshops as a subject matter expert on AI in innovation and the role of TRIZ in structured problem-solving. 

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical field (advanced degree a plus). 
  • 5+ years of product management experience in software, R&D, or information services, ideally with exposure to innovation management, IP, or technical problem-solving. 
  • Proven success in defining and executing product strategies and roadmaps. 
  • Experience working with AI/ML-driven products or data-powered tools. 
  • Familiarity with TRIZ or other structured innovation/problem-solving frameworks, and an understanding of how they apply in R&D. 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into customer value. 
  • Experience working with SaaS platforms and cross-functional teams. 
  • A passion for helping innovators solve problems, generate ideas, and accelerate their R&D outcomes.
