Are you excited to shape a research‑grade, AI‑powered product that helps scientists think deeper and move faster—while owning a critical trust‑driven feature from strategy to launch?
Do you want to lead high‑impact product work at the intersection of AI, trust, and science, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to scale a platform that truly advances human progress?
About our Team
We are the product management team responsible for LeapSpace, a research-grade AI-assisted workspace that helps researchers work faster, think deeper and achieve more in one secure environment.
Our team is agile, diverse, and international. We fully embrace iterative, evidence-based product development with a strong emphasis on meeting customer needs. We take pride in contributing to making the world a better place by supporting the scientific community.
About the Role:
In this role, you will shape the future direction of your squad. You’ll report to the Senior Product Director and Strategy Lead, working closely to deliver the product vision and manage the backlog effectively. While the Director defines the agentic AI strategy, your squad will lead progress in AI-powered research ahead of wider product rollout. You will help set strategic direction in partnership with the Director while owning execution and delivery within the squad.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Senior Product Director, UX designers, and data scientists to prototype and explore ideas using modern AI tools. Our team expects product managers to build and validate concepts, not simply write specifications. You will work daily with a Principal Engineer and an embedded three-person data science team.
Success in this role requires adaptability in a fast-moving environment and strong cross-functional leadership to ensure alignment and effective delivery across stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will lead regular ceremonies, including stand-ups whilst also representing LeapSpace by demo-ing to customers at conferences and webinars. Energise audiences and make the product shine.
You will own the Product backlog and delivery priorities for your squad and lead current squad deliverables, including vault integration, responsive design, and front-end experience improvements.
Expand to own agentic AI capabilities and Deep Research as your scope grows.
Collaborate with embedded data scientists to assess and refine response accuracy, retrieval relevance, and trust features.
Contribute to retrieval quality evaluation and improvement processes across the product.
Identify and eliminate operational blockers to accelerate your team’s delivery effectiveness.
Own privacy review and compliance for your squad's features; ensure new capabilities meet governance requirements before launch.
Act as the contact for sales and customer success—handle queries, join calls, and share insights.
Own the evaluation quality loop: commissioning evaluations with data scientists, interpreting results, and translating findings into prioritised product improvements.
Requirements
A number of years of product management experience or equivalent, with a track record of shipping complex features in fast-moving environments.
Experience with AI/ML products—especially generative AI, RAG, or agentic workflows—is central to this role.
Be comfortable with AI coding tools and rapid prototyping. You will build proofs of concept, validate ideas with teams, and prototype.
Communicate technically with the cross-disciplinary team; evaluate architecture and trade-offs without writing production code.
Proven ability to perform in an agile environment and manage ambiguity effectively; experience in a start-up or early-stage product is highly desirable.
Genuine interest in supporting the scientific community as well as understanding their unique needs.
Strong background in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with engineering, data science, and platform teams.
Demonstrated experience managing platform and infrastructure work alongside user-facing features.
Experience in customer discovery methodologies, with a focus on understanding pain points and translating them into product decisions.
Experience supporting go-to-market execution and working with sales and marketing teams.
Strong analytical proficiency, using data and experimentation to inform decisions.
