How will your role help us transform hope into reality?

As a Sr. Product Manager for AYVAKYT you are responsible for the brand planning process and brand plan development in Germany in line with the international brand plan strategy, you are driving the cross functional brand planning process and work in close collaboration with the international marketing team. You are responsible for the implementation of our strategy and the execution of our planned tactics while monitoring progress and success. Furthermore, you are leading the internal cross functional product team. Reporting directly to the Marketing Lead Germany, you will work in partnership with key collaborators across the brand team and with cross-functional stakeholders. You will thrive in an environment of rapid change, demonstrate strong communication, work optimally within cross-functional teams, and have a problem-solving and analytical approach to succeed in this opportunity.


What will you do?

  • As lead of the German cross functional product team you lead the strategic brand planning including upcoming product launches.
  • Identify trends, opportunities and risks for our product and react upon it.
  • Development and implementation of marketing tactics with a particular focus on establishing the Ayvakyt product as the "Standard of Care" in the approved indications and increasing the number of "Disease Awareness", including field service support, omnichannel/digital projects and operational action planning.
  • Ensuring the targeted and timely use of market research and building up in-depth knowledge of the market, products and competitors.
  • Collect and monitor information about competitors (CI) in the market and develop strategies.
  • Reporting on marketing KPls, including digital and multi-channel metrics.
  • Close cooperation with and support of the finance department, commercial excellence and logistics in planning and preparing forecasts of sales and sales volumes, as well as planning the expenditure budget for all commercial activities on Ayvakyt.
  • Monitor and control brand budgets, forecasts, and spend, as well as evaluate the marketing mix for the product to assess cost efficiency and results.
  • Maintain close contacts with external partners, including medical experts, by being present on the ground and supporting the team on the ground.
  • Working closely with the International/Global Commercial team to ensure that promotional campaigns are appropriately developed and executed effectively, close contacts with other LOCs to share and promote best practices across countries.
  • Work closely with all supporting functions (including medical, regulatory, sales and international marketing).
  • Cross-functional collaboration with the responsible managers and colleagues in the creation and implementation of marketing plans.
  • Drive effective and efficient cross-functional collaboration and alignment with partners including sales, advocacy, corporate affairs, business analytics, legal, regulatory and compliance to appropriately meet or exceed brand objectives.
  • Ensure legal/regulatory compliance and medical accuracy of all marketing materials. Translate the brand science and strategy into patient-friendly terms to make a positive impact on patient’s lives.
  • Interface and present to senior leadership on performance and other business critical information
  • Manage agency partner relationships, workflows, and related expense budgets.
  • Responsible for marketing OPEX planning and accuracy.

 

What minimum qualifications do we require? 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry within the Marketing arena
  • Ability to travel 20% or as needed for conferences and meetings and field visits

 

What additional qualifications will make you a stronger candidate? 

  • Pharmaceutical marketing experience including omni-channel
  • Operational knowledge of medical, regulatory, legal review process
  • Rare disease experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen with organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Skilled at building and maintaining effective relationships and operating in a cross-functional environment
  • Results-oriented, and ability to influence within the matrix
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability and eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment, striving for excellence in everything you do, alongside a team that is driven by improving the lives of patients
