The Role
Condé Nast is seeking an innovative, collaborative, and proven Sr. Product Manager to help guide product planning and execution for our affiliate commerce area.
As the Sr. Product Manager for Commerce, you will help develop and execute the roadmap to grow our affiliate commerce business across Condé Nast. Working in collaboration with design, engineering and project management partners, as well as the commerce editorial team, you will iterate on our brand’s on-site affiliate commerce page templates (e.g. shopping guides) and features to optimize revenue, seo, and user experience. You will partner closely with the commerce editorial teams to deliver features that add value for our end users and you will be responsible for editorial adoption of these features.
You will need to work closely with other Product Managers, Product Designers, and Engineers to build features that will support all of our brands across all of our markets.
What will you be doing?
Prioritization & Planning

Drive product prioritization within a 0-9 month time horizon, with the ability to manage prioritization across both short- and long-term projects, managing unforeseen situations logically and effectively

Co-lead cross-functional teams with partners in editorial, design, engineering, and project management to deliver features that meet the needs of our users

Prioritize multiple initiatives with logic and authority, while influencing your peers through respect

Work with product analytics to estimate the impact of potential work to help guide feature prioritization

Convert business objectives into development plans and follow through with delivery

Devise and refine Objectives and Key Results for affiliate commerce

Ensure clear requirements are provided for iterative development cycles

Align with engineering teams to determine resourcing plans

Manage day to day product planning & delivery (i.e. agile ceremonies) with a globally distributed product development team that has a heavy footprint in India
Communication

Align senior stakeholders across the company to the product roadmap

Proactively and clearly communicate updates, roadblocks, and other team developments to stakeholders

Write product briefs and gain team buy-in on new approaches to problems

Create and manage all product documentation, communicate strategy, project status, and decisions

Train users on how to use new features

Track adoption of features and hand-hold editors as needed to grow adoption

Drive ab tests and pre/post tests to validate hypotheses

Quickly respond to bugs and issues as they arise

Thrive in a global environment, working across multiple time zones

Build effective relationships with strong verbal and written abilities, working diplomatically and effectively across departments
Management

Be the primary point of contact for our on-site affiliate commerce page templates (e.g. shopping guides) across the Condé Nast organization, coordinating work with our cross-functional partners in editorial, audience development, marketing, consumer revenue, corporate development, advertising and strategy.

Constantly iterate on team processes and resources to improve quality and speed of delivery
Who you are:
-
5-8 years of experience driving commerce products, ideally affiliate commerce at a digital media organization
-
Experience in developing and delivering digital products at scale within a consumer-facing company (preferably media)
-
A clear understanding of the affiliate commerce industry, including trends and best practices on different platforms, including social commerce
-
Experience with commerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, CommerceTools
-
Experience with product catalogs (PIMs)
-
Experience with social commerce tools like LTK, ShopMy
-
Experience across digital platforms, particularly web-based tech
-
Confidence presenting to executives
-
A familiarity with and appreciation of Conde Nast brands
-
Experience working with analytics tools, and understanding and communicating data trends.

Bachelor or Masters degree
-
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, javascript, and SQL
-
