We are looking for a Senior Product Manager (12-month FTC) to join our data product squads within the Research & Data pillar. This is a key role focused on shaping and delivering high-quality, research-ready data products that enable external researchers to safely and effectively use Our Future Health data via our Trusted Research Environment.
Through close collaboration with scientists, data scientists, engineers, and wider stakeholders, your work will directly influence the quality of research to enable people to live longer and healthier lives.
Our Future Health is the UK’s largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent, and treat diseases. We are a charity, supported by the UK Government, in partnership with charities and industry. We work closely with the NHS and with public authorities across all nations and regions of the UK.
As Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for our questionnaire, demographic, clinic measurement and geographical data products. You will :
- Lead product delivery across core data domains, including participant questionnaires, clinic-derived measurements, and geographic data
- Own and evolve product roadmaps that balance immediate delivery needs with long-term data platform sustainability
- Ensure data products are curated, documented, and released in ways that maximise usability for external researchers.
- Conducting user research to identify how best to present the data to accelerate different customer use cases.
- Working with the cross-functional Questionnaire Data squad to discover, define and prioritise work that will enable Our Future Health to provide the best quality and most impactful data products for a range of different customer groups.
- Working with teams across the organisation to design, deliver and improve how we present relevant data products so that our customers can achieve their research aims. This will involve having to balance competing priorities and working with different stakeholders.
- Keeping laser-focused on our specialist users, while remaining continually mindful of our business goals and wider mission to support the improved tracking, prevention and treatment of disease via our research programme.
- Working with internal and external delivery partners to explore emerging opportunities.
- Collaborating with and influencing stakeholders across the organisation, across a variety of seniority levels.
- Championing user needs and evidence-based decision making. Actively contributing to the growth of the wider product community.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Senior Product Manager delivering complex digital or data-driven products.
- Experience of coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve a shared goal, ideally in a challenging stakeholder environment with competing business priorities.
- Data-driven approach, with experience establishing mechanisms to define and track qual/quantitative metrics to measure and monitor product success and impact on end users.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with an understanding about how to influence and facilitate decision-making and bring people together to align on a shared goal or objective. Including experience working with external suppliers to ensure requirements are understood and delivered.
- A tenacious and collaborative approach to problem solving with the curiosity and intellect to explore ideas and opportunities and inspire product teams to achieve delivery targets.
- Ability to work in an environment of change - comfortable navigating shifting priorities and requirements.
- A rich understanding of researcher’s user needs, pain points and motivations across multiple domains. Passionate about taking a user-centred approach to product development.
- Experience working within platforms or products that process complex datasets. With an appreciation of compliance requirements, ideally with experience of developing digital products in a highly regulated environment.
