What’s the role about?

As part of our Menswear Production department, you’ll be joining as our Senior Product Developer to support our Head of Production to drive and implement the sourcing and product development strategy at Reiss. You will be establishing strong relationships with both our suppliers and the Design, Merchandising, Buying and Technical departments at Reiss. There will be a key focus in managing the critical path and ensuring that targets are achieved.

What you’ll be doing

  • Accountable for product pricing in the category and hitting target margins, whilst adhering with the design vision. Finding solutions where needed with a proactive mentality to avoid deadline disruptions.
  • Evaluate the supplier base regularly to identify gaps, as well as following up with onboarding new suppliers and work on strategies alongside underperforming suppliers for progression or possible exit plans.
  • Negotiating delivery date at time of placing order in line with merchandising requirements.
  • Manage the category critical path and milestones, raising concerns to our Head of Production to ensure that product is signed off within the required lead time.
  • Assisting our Head of Production in working with our Creative teams to develop new and exciting ranges within the Reiss Menswear category.
  • Attend fit sessions and discussed highlighted issues with suppliers, whilst coupled with monitoring changes and considering the effect on pricing and lead times.
  • Take responsibility in supplier selection and cost price negotiation. Ensure detailed costing breakdowns are received from suppliers and engineered to price point.
  • Partner with our Sustainability coordinator to drive the Reiss sustainability strategy, in addition to developing sustainable fabrics and trim options with our Fabric Coordinator.
