Ford Credit is experiencing significant business transformation in an ever-changing digital world and searching for a Senior Product Designer for a 6 month FTC to lead the design of internal platforms and digital products. The ideal candidate will combine creative vision with technical execution, delivering intuitive, aesthetically pleasing UX solutions. This role involves collaborating with product managers, engineers, researchers, and stakeholders to create engaging product experiences while shaping design standards and best practices across the organisation.

ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Product Designer, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end experience for our digital platforms. You will work in close collaboration with product managers and engineers, taking design ideas from inception to delivery. You will create beautiful, usable solutions based on unbiased user research.
What you will be doing:
- Lead end-to-end design for complex workflows: Drive the full design lifecycle from ideation and logic mapping to high-fidelity visuals and interactive prototypes, ensuring solutions account for intricate multi-state edge cases and technical constraints.
- Synthesise business logic with user needs: Deeply analyse complex business requirements to design lean, scalable solutions that prioritise operational efficiency and reduce cognitive load for expert users.
- Drive strategy through research and innovation: Apply user research insights to identify opportunities for workflow innovation, helping the team understand the ‘why’ behind building better, data-heavy experiences.
- Collaborate across functions: Partner effectively with engineering, product management, and stakeholders to ensure designs are development-ready and aligned with both technical feasibility and business goals.
- Communicate and advocate for design: Present clear design rationales to stakeholders, translating dense, complex concepts into understandable solutions that facilitate alignment and informed decision-making.
What you're good at:
- Expertise in internal systems and data: Proven experience designing for platforms with high-volume data sets, complex flows and multi-layered user journeys
- Technical delivery and design systems: Skilled at utilising design systems to create usable products while supporting engineering teams through the full development lifecycle to balance technical excellence with project constraints.
- Research synthesis and storytelling: Expertise in synthesising research findings into actionable insights and using human-centred storytelling to guide product strategy and inspire cross-functional teams.
- UX proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of UX principles, interaction design, and accessibility standards, paired with proficiency in Figma, Miro, Confluence, and Jira within Agile environments.
- Leadership and stakeholder alignment: Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to lead complex projects autonomously and advocate for user needs while aligning with business goals.
Essential Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in user experience, human-computer interaction, interaction design, service design or digital design-related degree
• 5+ years of experience in product or UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating work on internal platforms or complex digital products
