Overall Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our small design team within the Technology department. We design and help develop the products that drive revenues for Global’s market leading audio and out-of-home advertising businesses.

At Global, the design team is fully embedded in various product streams while operating as a tight-knit, centralised unit. Our work spans a variety of products, so whilst consistency plays a crucial role, we still enjoy a high degree of ownership and autonomy in our work.

We apply a user-centric approach to complex problem-solving and collaborate with product owners, engineers, other designers and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll be doing
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, analysts, engineers and the design team

  • Lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery research to effective problem framing, ideation, co-creation, prototyping, and user testing, into high-fidelity designs that will achieve a high impact across multiple products

  • Drive product discovery involving all key stakeholders in the process

  • Organise and facilitate stakeholder and user workshops

  • Conduct desk and user research and turn your findings into actionable insights, process maps and user journeys.

  • Acting as the voice of the user and an advocate for design principles and design thinking across the department

  • Contribute to our design systems to ensure consistency and scalability

  • Grow our design team by improving our design processes and offering guidance and mentorship to other Globallers.

You’ll have these skills and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise products/B2B/SaaS

  • Strong portfolio focusing on UX and User Research while showcasing a good set of UI skills

  • To stay on top of product complexity, your work must be well organised with a keen eye for details whilst maintaining a holistic view of larger user journeys

  • A strong understanding of business and product metrics

  • Experience in testing and validating designs using qualitative and quantitative methods

  • Ability to drive decision-making across complex projects and multiple teams in fast-paced environments

  • Ability to articulate design decisions through clear, empathic communication

  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to turn data and user insights into compelling stories to take stakeholders on a journey and motivate your team

  • Excellent senior stakeholder management and negotiation skills

  • Experience navigating ambiguity, using your experience to drive forward and make decisions across intricate projects and diverse teams

In the first few months you will
  • Gain deep understanding of our products and drive product discovery meetings involving all key stakeholders

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including product owners, analysts, engineers, and the design team.

  • Organize and facilitate your first stakeholder or user workshops

  • Lead your first user research project to understand our users and their needs

  • Showcase your ability to turn findings into actionable insights.

  • Begin contributing to the design system to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
