At Zopa, Analysts are the people who inspire ideas and strategies to drive our business forward and make our products better for customers. Our analysts are a mix of creative problem solvers and number whizzes with a passion for translating numbers into business opportunities and delivering insights to drive decision-making. They're also excellent communicators with the ability to story-tell with data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Our analysts are deeply embedded into the business and will interact with individuals at all levels of the business from Managers to our leadership team.

The role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join our Current Account tribe.
Just launched in June 2025 as the “Biscuit” account, the Zopa Current Account is a rapidly growing new product that’s fundamental to the bank’s future growth ambitions. Our tribe functions like a startup within the wider bank; we’re obsessive about our mission to build a powerfully simple to use and feature-rich everyday account that customers will love.
As a Senior Product Analyst, you will develop a detailed understanding of who our customers are and how they use the account, guiding product development towards solutions that improve outcomes for our customers.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced environment where you can have an outsized impact in the early stages of a new product. With so many decisions to inform, quick high conviction directional insights can sometimes be more valuable than achieving 100% precision on every answer.

A day in the life...

  • Partnering with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers and others, delivering trusted insights to inform decisions and improve the Current Account product
  • Designing and evaluating statistically rigorous experiments to support rapid iterative product development as we test our way through uncertainty
  • Performing new analyses daily to answer open-ended questions and guide product strategy across the product
  • Defining metrics that will be our source of truth for product performance, quality of user experience, and progress towards our key results
  • Owning your analytics domain, proactively identifying opportunities for further analysis and prioritising the highest impact work
  • Experimenting at the cutting edge of LLM-enabled analytics, using new tools to automatically generate data and insight from natural language questions

About you...

  • Technical: 3+ years’ experience in an analytical role with strong data manipulation skills in SQL and/or Python. You’re comfortable getting stuck into large datasets and extracting insight that drives decision making
  • Delivery: You’ve worked in a fast-paced environment (e.g. fintech, start-up, consulting). You prioritise for impact and strike the right balance between precision and effort depending on the context
  • Clarity: You thrive in an environment with unstructured, open-ended problems. You’re able isolate signal from the noise and bring clarity to decision-makers
  • Influence: You communicate clearly and explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’re not afraid to challenge where appropriate, but you always approach others with respect and sensitivity
  • Motivation: You are self-starter with a bias to action who doesn’t wait to be told what to do. You’re excited about building innovative banking products

  • Nice to have
  • You’ve conducted experiments such as A/B tests and run causal analyses to isolate statistically significant impacts of product changes and other events
  • You’ve defined and built metrics to track product performance on conversion, activation, retention and engagement
  • You’ve used visualisation tools like Tableau or Power BI to deliver high quality self-serve data products
  • You’re used to working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders across different disciplines
  • You have experience working with consumer-facing fintech (or similar) digital products
  • Please note - no candidate will meet every single desired qualification. If your experience looks a little different from what we’ve identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we’d love to learn more about you!

At Zopa we value flexible ways of working.
We value face-to-face collaboration and a good work-life balance. This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2-3 days a week.

You'll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year!* But no matter where you are, we’ll make sure you’ve got everything you need to thrive, both in your work and home life, from day one.

*Subject to having the right to work in the country of choice

What you need to know about the London Tech Scene

London isn't just a hub for established businesses; it's also a nursery for innovation. Boasting one of the most recognized fintech ecosystems in Europe, attracting billions in investments each year, London's success has made it a go-to destination for startups looking to make their mark. Top U.K. companies like Hoptin, Moneybox and Marshmallow have already made the city their base — yet fintech is just the beginning. From healthtech to renewable energy to cybersecurity and beyond, the city's startups are breaking new ground across a range of industries.
