Department OverviewThe Product Procurement Team works with the Business, Engineering, Supply Chain and other critical functional teams to create and execute the product outsourcing strategy. The team source and manages a pool of qualified suppliers to support and enable our business' outsourcing needs.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist, with at least 3 years prior experience in managing EMS category and suppliers. The responsibilities of the Senior Procurement Specialist includes but not limited to :
- Strategize and execute the EMS category strategy
- EMS suppliers management, including suppliers relationships ownership
- Conduct RFQ exercise, cost negotiations and project awards
- Contract negotiations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for issues escalations, internally and externally
- Drive cost efficiencies and cost reductions
Basic Requirements
In order to be successful, the candidate must have:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or any related field
- Minimum 3 years procurement/category management experience as well as with proven track records in managing suppliers.
- Effective problem solving skills, strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills with proven ability to work with people from various levels and functions.
- Strong data analysis skills and good understanding in forecasting methods.
- High proficiency in MS Office / Google Docs; specifically, advanced MS Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Prior project management experience will be an added advantage.
- Energetic, Positive and a Team Player personality.
- Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
