As a Senior Associate Process Manager supporting R&C COS & AXT, you will help manage and support the command center processes. Responsibilities will include documenting, monitoring and controlling critical process points as defined by business policies and standards. You will educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of process to ensure appropriate execution each and every time. You may also lead or engage in critical departmental or cross-functional organizational initiatives and projects.
This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners across multiple functional areas including multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role. This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate others in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects. Knowledge of how to navigate regulatory requirements, as well as the development and management of process controls, will be critical to maintaining a well-managed process.
A qualified candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated that they can improve processes and deliver well managed and scalable solutions and intent resulting in flawless and sustainable execution
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to change quickly.
  • A solid grasp of process management concepts and Agile experience, working with Risk / Compliance Officers and Auditors.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, including experience working with data and automation tools.
  • The ability to comfortably engage in Technology and Product conversations at various levels.


General Responsibilities:

  • Conduct value stream mapping and create business processes using BPMN
  • Validate existing processes and seek opportunities to reduce variation and/or waste in the process
  • Support and lead Agile team ceremonies
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and enhance our data management practices, processes and controls, and validations
  • Develop and maintain formal process and product documentation, including procedures and process flow diagrams
  • Work with team members to develop robust risk management processes
  • Analyze data and influence others to proactively identify data risks and trends,
  • Consultation and representation of well managed processes, customer experience, and risk management for new intent
  • Drive product development by partnering with Technology and Intent Owners to achieve desired outcomes or improvements by clarifying needs and providing appropriate solutions
  • Collect data and information to provide transparency to senior leadership on the health of the process
  • Lead and own oversight of process improvement work and collaborating with teammates on larger initiatives
  • Track and resolve process breakdowns, issues and risk event
  • Designing and producing metrics used to measure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Driving process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years of experience in Process or Risk Management experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office or Google Suite Products


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification
  • 1+ years of Project Management experience
  • 1+ years of experience working with Product and Technology teams
  • Business Management Process Notation Certification
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $86,300 - $98,400 for Sr. Process Manager
Richmond, VA: $78,400 - $89,500 for Sr. Process Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
