Job Description
The role
Checkout.com is looking for an independent, analytical, and hands-on Senior Process Architect to drive process improvement and efficiency across FinOps. This is an outstanding opportunity for an expert practitioner to dive deep into complex financial workflows and reimagine them for scale.
You will be the bridge between data, people, and systems, taking existing processes, unwinding them, and rebuilding them to be frictionless and robust. If you excel at self-motivation and want to see the tangible results of your designs, this role is for you.
How you’ll make an impact
Lead critical initiatives to "unwind and rebuild" legacy processes, transforming them into highly scalable, automated, and efficient workflows.
Create comprehensive, step-by-step process documentation, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that serve as the single source of truth for global teams.
Identify and implement AI-driven and automation solutions to streamline workflows, resulting in faster resolution times and improved output accuracy.
Use strong analytical skills to dig into performance KPIs, identifying the root causes of delays or errors in areas like Accounts Payable, Reconciliation, or Procurement.
Propose and design concrete corrective action plans; collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to implement system-level fixes where manual processes fail.
Ensure the "user experience" of our internal finance tools and processes is seamless for team members, reducing manual administrative burden.
Provide clear, concise presentations of findings and future design plans to stakeholders globally, bridging the gap between technical complexity and business reality.
3+ years of process excellence experience, specifically handling complex processes with a high level of integration across multiple global units.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working directly within or supporting Finance functions (AP, AR, Treasury, or Reconciliation).
Experience developing process outlines and flowcharts using standard notation (BPMN); Lean Six Sigma certification is a strong plus.
A "doer" mentality - you enjoy getting into the weeds of a problem and fixing it. You have successfully executed and maintained multiple projects in a deadline-driven and ambiguous environment.
You possess a passion for understanding the future state of Checkout.com and designing the practices to get us there.
Bring all of you to work
We create the conditions for high performers to thrive – through real ownership, fewer blockers, and work that makes a difference from day one.
Here, you’ll move fast, take on meaningful challenges, and be recognized for the impact you deliver. It’s a place where ambition gets met with opportunity – and where your growth is in your hands.
We work as one team, and we back each other to succeed. So whatever your background or identity, if you’re ready to grow and make a difference, you’ll be right at home here.
It’s important we set you up for success and make our process as accessible as possible. So let us know in your application, or tell your recruiter directly, if you need anything to make your experience or working environment more comfortable.
