We are seeking a talented individual to join Mercer Tech, a Marsh business. This role will be based in Gurgaon/Noida. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Senior Principal Engineer – Applications Development (D)

What can you expect?

As Senior Principal Engineer at Mercer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable software applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Additionally, you will collaborate on the implementation of comprehensive test strategies, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This is a hands-on role that requires the candidate to work in a team following a Scaled Agile development methodology. You must be a self-starter, delivery-focused, and possess a broad set of technology skills.

We will count on you to:

  • Demonstrate technical expertise and leadership in software development and testing.
  • Design and develop scalable and maintainable software applications, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance engineers, to understand software requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
  • Lead the implementation of comprehensive test strategies, including unit, integration, and system testing, to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and test scripts to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough testing of software applications, analyze test results, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting any issues or areas for improvement.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development and testing.

What you need to have:

· At least 5 years of experience on applications development using MEAN Stack.

Full stack developer with Angular, .net core, Nest js, Mongo DB and SQL

· Hands-on work experience on above mentioned technologies

· Experience in Git and continuous integration

· Good team player, able to learn and share knowledge

· Proactive in proposing new ideas and solutions

· Motivated to learn and apply new technologies

· Good understanding of cyber security guidelines

· Experience in Git and continuous integration

· Strong communication and collaboration skills

· Should be well versed with DevOps
