What will you be doing?

Senior Pricing & Financial Underwriting Analyst
Location: Dorking
Hybrid Working: 2 days per week in the office, with flexible working options available.

Unum UK is looking for a Senior Pricing & Financial Underwriting Analyst to join our growing team. You will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and testing Unum’s pricing systems to ensure accurate pricing across all Unum’s products. You will be responsible for providing support and training on pricing tools and strategies to operational teams across Unum.
Your advanced Excel skills will be crucial in developing and enhancing pricing MI to deliver meaningful insights into pricing performance.

What will you bring?

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, enhance and test Unum’s pricing and risk selection systems
• Develop and analyse pricing MI to support pricing studies and provide insights into performance.
• Propose standards and guidelines to be followed by our operational teams, ensuring an adequate process is in place for Unum to select and price for risks to provide both profit and growth.
• Play an active role in developing relationships with key partners across the business.
• Conduct training sessions on pricing changes and developments.

What You Bring:

• Experience working in Group Risk or held a similar role in another industry.  
• Strong analytical and logical skills.
• Advanced Excel skills (SQL, Power BI, and Cognos are advantageous).
• Effective communication skills to translate technical information into meaningful insights.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage tasks efficiently, and handle confidential information.
