Senior Pricing Associate, CRS

 

Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS) is a division within M&G Life with a remit to design and deliver bulk purchase annuities and alternative de-risking products for Defined Benefit pension schemes. Due to ongoing success and a strong opportunity set, the team is adding headcount in a number of areas.

 

The remit of the Pricing team is broad and the successful candidate will have exposure to an extremely wide variety of projects. CRIS has ambitious new business targets and is looking for exceptional people who will help deliver results.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key role on end-to-end pricing for BPAs and other de risking solutions
  • Working with colleagues from across the business and outsourcing partners to integrate commercial, investment, longevity, reinsurance, balance sheet management and structuring workstreams into pricing projects
  • Supporting senior stakeholders across CRS and M&G Life with technical analysis, strategy, business planning and ad hoc queries
  • Supporting distribution and transaction management colleagues with the production of high quality client deliverables and wider relationship management activities
  • Developing new and enhanced modelling capability, including tech solutions across the CRS pricing infrastructure
  • Supporting pricing development of novel bulk annuity transaction structures, reinsurance solutions, and new product lines
  • Key role in Pricing projects run in partnership with the Treasury and Investment Office, Finance Strategy & Finance Reporting teams

 

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Commercially minded nearly or recently qualified Actuary with exceptional technical skills
  • Experience of bulk annuity pricing, funded reinsurance, longevity reinsurance, life insurance balance sheet management or modelling UK DB Pensions required
  • Understanding of Solvency II/UK for life insurance, in particular balance sheet construction, liability discounting, asset strategy & ALM valuable
  • Experience of developing/structuring and pricing institutional insurance products valuable
  • Understanding of non-standard capital and reinsurance structures valuable
  • Ambitious and self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative/prioritise workload to strict deadlines
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
