Company Description

Who We Are

SquareTrade is the fastest growing partner in the global device protection market and we work with many of the world’s largest operators, retailers and manufacturers. Our obsession with putting the customer first, from our transparent T&Cs to our better products, always available online claim filing and our flexible resolution options, are all underpinned by our exceptional team. This is the secret behind how we’ve continued to shake up the industry. We are the ones transforming a “bad” service category into something that empowers people to take care of the things that keep life running smoothly. Together, we’re united by the same end goal: to completely change what people expect from an insurance plan.

We now protect over 140 million devices globally and work across Europe, with partners including Apple, T-Mobile and Telenor. We have been first to market with a number of key innovations, including fully-digital claims, choice of resolution option, next day exchange and same-day services via local and on-site repair. Our European ambition continues to grow as we step into new sectors including B2B, CE insurance and trade in products.

Job Description

What is great about this role

  • Impact: You'll make a real difference! SquareTrade's exponential growth wouldn’t be possible without a Pricing and Commercials team who own all the commercials on RFPs with prospective partners and new products in our current markets. That’s when you enter the stage!
  • Innovation and challenges: SquareTrade’s Pricing and Commercial team is still in its early stages, which means you will have the opportunity to influence the team’s vision, propose innovative solutions to fresh challenges and build processes from the ground up. Is there anything more satisfying than creating something and watching it thrive?
  • Self-development: With the size of our company and team, you’ll be directly involved in making strategic decisions to fuel SquareTrade’s growth and boost profitability. Plus, you'll support our Senior Leadership Team with your expertise in data and pricing. Get ready for an incredibly fast learning curve at SquareTrade!
  • Collaboration: This position provides ample opportunities to collaborate closely with wider Finance, Account Management, Supply Chain, Customer Operations & the Business Development teams. With lots of variety in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment you won’t get bored.

Responsibilities include

  • Price SquareTrade’s potential insurance and trade-in programs and products
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain and CS/CX teams to gather program costs and identify cost drivers.
  • Leverage your data expertise and analytical mindset to assess program profitability, identify risks, and pinpoint levers to enhance the product’s commercials.
  • Use your storytelling skills to translate pricing and commercial analysis into actionable insights.
  • Present these insights to Account Managers, Business Development and Senior Leadership Teams
  • Collaborate with the rest of your Pricing team, Business Development, Account Management, and Tech teams during RFPs and product launches to ensure a seamless process, timely delivery, and the accuracy, usefulness, and reliability of pricing outputs
  • Contribute to developing SquareTrade's pricing processes by identifying areas for improvement, utilizing existing technology, and designing new workflows to establish SquareTrade’s Pricing and Commercial team as a best-in-class operation

What we are looking for in an ideal candidate

  • Data-savvy and analytical mindset: You are enthusiastic about working with data, able to uncover insights through careful analysis and turning complex information into clear and practical recommendations. In a nutshell, telling stories with numbers is your passion.
  • Intellectually curious and detail-oriented: You’re driven about asking questions, quickly ramping up, and remaining agile as you receive feedback from business owners
  • Collaborative: You are comfortable working with non-finance team members to agree commercials decisions. Moreover, you can read the room and adjust your communication style to your audience
  • Ambitious: You’ll go above and beyond to get results (and you’re able to motivate others to do the same!) and aren’t afraid of pointing out things you believe aren’t working and can be optimized
  • You’ll get your hands dirty: You’re not afraid to jump into confusing messy situations. You love being the go-to person for getting things done.
  • Dynamic multi-tasker: You are a self-starter and can juggle multiple priorities to make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly ambiguous environment
