About the role:
This role sits at the forefront of complex matter pricing and GenAI‑enabled legal delivery, supporting some of the firm’s most significant, high‑value and innovative matters.
As a Senior Pricing Advisor, you will work closely with partners, lawyers and business teams to design and deliver sophisticated pricing solutions for complex, multi‑jurisdictional and technologically advanced matters. You will be a trusted commercial adviser, bringing financial insight, creativity and rigour to pricing decisions — particularly where GenAI or alternative delivery models are in play.
Operating as part of a highly collaborative, multi‑disciplinary team, you will play a meaningful role in developing and embedding advanced pricing approaches across the firm, while maintaining a strong hands‑on focus on modelling, proposals and stakeholder engagement.
Key elements of the role include:
- Supporting complex matter proposals, including those involving tech‑ and GenAI‑assisted delivery
- Advising partners and matter teams on:
- pricing strategy and fee structures
- AFAs, hybrid arrangements and value‑based pricing
- scenario analysis, margin modelling and risk management
- Building bespoke financial models for high‑stakes, time‑critical proposals
- Developing and maintaining standard pricing models to improve efficiency and consistency
- Supporting major RFPs, competitive tenders and negotiation processes
- Working closely with Legal Project Management, legal tech, finance and billing teams to ensure pricing solutions are practical, robust and deliverable
- Contributing to best‑practice guidance, tools, training and knowledge sharing across the firm
- Staying close to market and technology trends, particularly around pricing innovation and GenAI
This role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, complex work and emerging delivery models, with clear scope for development and progression.
What we're ideally looking for:
We’re looking for a commercially‑minded pricing professional who enjoys working on complex problems, thrives in a collaborative environment and is curious about how technology and GenAI are changing legal delivery.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Experience in a pricing, commercial finance or analytical role, ideally within legal or professional services
- Strong financial modelling skills and a high level of numerical accuracy
- Exposure to complex matters, alternative fee arrangements or non‑standard pricing approaches
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and contributing to pricing discussions with credibility
- An interest in, or experience of:
- GenAI and legal technology
- innovative pricing models and delivery approaches
- evolving client expectations around value and transparency
We’re also keen to hear from candidates who:
- Are proactive, organised and comfortable working under pressure
- Have a strong client‑service mindset and attention to detail
- Enjoy collaborating across teams and disciplines
- Take ownership of their work and follow things through to completion
- Are eager to learn, develop and build deep expertise in complex matter pricing
