Job Description
This role will report to the Head of Systematic Strategies & the Head of Equities located in Boston & New York, respectively.Working alongside portfolio managers and analysts in the team, you will help manage portfolios in the Systematic Strategies suite of products. After gaining proficiency in our proprietary systematic investment approach, you will contribute to all facets of portfolio management: portfolio construction and rebalancing, risk monitoring and management, trading, and client communications. You will collaborate with the quantitative research team to help continuously improve the models underlying these strategies, and work with the EMEA multi-asset team to understand their needs and deliver outcomes that meet their objectives. Responsibilities also include contributing to sales and marketing efforts and identifying needs/growth areas to design and develop products in line with identified growth priorities by engaging with product and distribution teams.
How you’ll spend your time…
Consistently implement the portfolio management process: monitor portfolio risks, address daily events, and rebalance portfolios through our proprietary systems and tools to deliver stated investment mandates.
Research opportunities to improve portfolio construction and risk management of all products.
Work with the quantitative research team to help identify areas with high impact opportunity for model improvement, offer input for additional research, and provide guidance for analyses.
Partner with the EMEA multi-asset team to support and grow their business with systematic capabilities.
Partner with the EMEA product team to support of new systematic capabilities to be commercialised.
Keep abreast of the drivers of market and portfolio performance and share insights across the team.
Communicate with internal and external clients regularly with relevant updates on their portfolios.
Market our products to new prospects in coordination with sales/distribution teams.
To be successful in this role you will have…
Extensive experience in the asset management industry, with a significant portion in systematic/quantitative portfolio management.
Experience in research and implementation of quantitative signals and stock selection models.
Solid understanding of quantitative financial mathematics, and experience with systematic tools for portfolio construction and risk management.
A comfort level with quantitative tools with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interface with clients, consultants, board members, and senior management.
Ability to build collaborative relationships.
An advanced degree in business, finance, or another quantitative field (preferred).
Technical self-sufficiency with good programming skills (preferred).
