Job title: Senior Podcast Partnership Manager

Your new role

In this role you will be responsible for driving significant revenue opportunities across Global’s Podcast portfolio. This includes focussed attention on; agency patches identified for high growth opportunities, inventory that requires proactive sales focus, video and social podcast packages and long-term sponsorship opportunities.

As a senior member of the team, a key focus will be in developing and delivering high quality pitches and inspiration sessions for clients, as well as supporting the immediate Podcast team and wider Agency hubs with selling Global’s Podcast proposition.

This is an external facing role where you will be responsible for building key relationships at agencies and with clients to ensure Global plays a part on every Podcast plan. You will be responsible for up-skilling the wider sales team’s knowledge on Podcasting and the commercial opportunities it offers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive and large-scale podcast partnership opportunities (60%): Identify new opportunities for commercial partnerships in the podcast space with high growth potential agencies and clients. Unlocking incremental revenue streams for us with our podcast inventory and brands.
  • Portfolio Ownership (20%): You will be responsible for key areas of the podcast portfolio to superserve the titles in that slate. Identifying key potential partners, opportunities and tracking conversations/brief responses/revenue against those shows specifically.
  • Specialist Support and Insight (20%): Using your podcast sales experience and knowledge, upskill teams across the business supplying them with tools and information to help support the Global podcast narrative in market

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Played a key role in delivering the annual revenue target for Podcasts, maximising monetisation opportunity across our full portfolio
  • Demonstrated a deep knowledge of the Podcast market and identified opportunities of growth within our portfolio
  • Embraced our workflows, ensuring smooth, efficient project execution.
  • Established strong internal and external relationships to ensure you are well placed to include Podcast opportunities to all relevant brief responses 
  • Communicated effectively across the business, keeping everyone in the loop on the status of all brief responses and projects

What You’ll Need

  • Podcast Sales Experience: A strong and successful track record in Podcast media sales
  • Industry Knowledge: An excellent knowledge of – and passion for - the Podcasting marketplace as well as understanding the overall media marketplace
  • Positive and Passionate Attitude: A proactive approach to sales with the ability to deliver creative and innovative sales solutions
  • Teamplayer: An excellent teammate attitude with the ability to empower colleagues across the business
  • Client & Brand Insight: The ability to align content with both client and Global brand identities.
