The Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for designing and governing Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs), implementing best practices, driving automation, and enhancing developer experience within Ericsson's engineering teams.

c. Deliver measurable business value by reducing Time-to-Market and improving development throughput with innovative platform solutions.
2. Champion Golden Path Creation and Standardization
a. Define, implement, and continuously refine "golden paths" - Ericsson-specific best practice workflows - to ensure consistent and repeatable success across build, deployment, testing, and security processes.
b. Ensure accountability and alignment with platform governance policies, enforcing best practices that enable teams to meet stringent quality, compliance, and security standards.
3. Enforce Platform Governance and Enable Enterprise-Wide Collaboration
a. Establish DevSecOps frameworks and lead cross-functional governance initiatives to foster seamless integration, compliance, and system-wide visibility.
b. Build bridges between engineering, DevOps, and operational teams by designing user-centric infrastructural solutions and ensuring usability across diverse business domains.
4. Optimize Operations with Proven Developer Enablement Strategies
a. Leverage GitLab for repository lifecycle management, version control policies, and CI/CD optimizations.
b. Develop and introduce plugins or integrations (e.g., Kubernetes, Jenkins, Jira) within existing systems to achieve uniform workflows and reduce developer toil.
5. Lead Developer Experience Innovation
a. Introduce standardized configurations, intuitive dashboards, and automation pathways that minimize manual interventions and lower cognitive load for developers.
b. Use data-driven methods to continuously refine DX (Developer Experience) patterns, focusing on self-service adoption and smooth onboarding experiences for new teams.
6. Enable Enterprise-Scale Innovation and Platform Adaptability
a. Build modular infrastructure blocks tailored to scale and adapt to shifting project requirements and future platform expansion needs.
b. Monitor and proactively optimize platform performance across global business units, ensuring Ericsson-wide alignment in platform engineering outcomes.
