  • Hybrid working: we spend 2 days together a week, with this role based in our London Dean Street office.

We’re operating in a fiercely competitive market and our customers expect nothing less than exceptional. That’s why we’re not standing still. We’ve recently launched an aggressive new product strategy that’s become our North Star, guiding the entire organisation toward a more platform-centric future.

This shift is redefining how we think, build, and deliver. We’re focused on making big, meaningful leaps, not just incremental changes, to lead innovation in our space. As a result, our technology stack and architecture are evolving rapidly, opening up exciting opportunities to tackle complex, high-impact problems.

To get there, we need a passionate, experienced Platform Engineer who can help us to go beyond comparison.

What you’ll be part of:

Our Platform Engineers are the backbone of this transformation. They design and maintain the infrastructure and tooling that empower our developers to build fast, secure, and reliable products. They’re enablers — working side-by-side with product teams to create seamless, scalable platform solutions that remove friction and unlock innovation.

We believe in true DevOps culture: our goal is to enable product engineering teams to fully own the services they build — from development to deployment and beyond. If your strength is building platforms that developers love, and you want to be solving big, technical challenges, you’ll feel right at home here.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:
  • Love working collaboratively: whether it’s pair programming, mobbing, or whiteboarding ideas, you believe the best solutions come from shared thinking.
  • Own complex challenges: you’re not afraid to dive into ambiguity, break down tough problems, and communicate clear, actionable solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Write elegant, maintainable code: you follow best practices and take pride in crafting clean, well-structured solutions that stand the test of time.
  • Build with the cloud in mind: you’ve worked hands-on with AWS and used tools to build scalable, reliable infrastructure as code.
  • Code fluently in modern languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go, you’re comfortable in the DevOps and Platform Engineering ecosystem.
  • Navigate sophisticated systems with ease: you can quickly understand unfamiliar codebases and contribute meaningfully to platform engineering practices.
  • Never stop learning: you’re curious, proactive, and always looking to sharpen your skills and explore new technologies.
  • Automate with confidence: you’ve configured CI/CD pipelines to streamline delivery and boost team productivity (we use GitHub Actions).
  • Champion quality: you advocate for robust testing practices like TDD and believe quality is everyone’s responsibility.
  • Work across data layers: you’ve built and maintained systems using databases like MongoDB, RDS, or Aurora.
  • Embrace agile values: you iterate fast, deliver value early, and help your team do the same.
  • Mentor and uplift others: you enjoy coaching junior engineers and encouraging a culture of growth and support.
  • Drive continuous improvement: you’re always looking for ways to make systems, processes, and teams better.
Our Tech:
  • Infrastructure: Hosted in AWS, defined as code using tools like Terraform and CDK
  • Containerisation: Applications run using fully managed server-less approach using ECS & Fargate
  • Provisioning: We use AWS Control Tower to enable users to provision accounts to host their services, whilst building paved roads to help teams get their apps up and running quickly in a consistent manner
  • Event-Driven: We share data through an event-driven system powered by MSK
  • Observability: Datadog is used for comprehensive logging and monitoring
  • Databases: We use a combination of MongoDB and AWS Relational Databases
  • Automation and CICD: Deployments are highly automated using Jenkins pipelines and Github Actions workflows, enabling us to release to production multiple times a day
