Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive.

The role

We’re looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Manager with 5+ years of hands-on experience in either paid search or paid social. You don’t need to be an expert in every channel—depth in one area and openness to learn and support across others is what we value most.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning and operating campaigns day-to-day, while partnering closely with the team lead on strategic direction, performance decisions, and prioritisation. You’ll have a high degree of autonomy in your channel(s), but you’re not alone—performance responsibility is shared, and key decisions are made collaboratively. You should bring a strong analytical mindset, with the ability to manage budgets effectively and make data-driven decisions to improve performance. You will also play a supportive role in helping the junior team members grow through knowledge-sharing.

The role will include:

Strategy & Optimization:

  • Co-develop and execute semi-annual channel strategies together with the team lead, aligned with company goals.

  • Take hands-on ownership of campaigns within your channel, with opportunities to support others as needed.

  • Responsibility for budget planning, forecasting, and achievement of performance targets (CLTV, ROAS).

  • Design, prioritise and evaluate A/B tests to drive incremental improvements.

  • Perform structured data analyses to identify growth opportunities and efficiency levers.

Performance Accountability:

  • Manage day-to-day campaign optimisation and ensure reporting quality for your channel(s).

  • Adjust and iterate on bidding strategies (e.g., tROAS, tCPA) to support overarching goals.

  • Proactive campaign management (strategic and operationally) based on performance data and strategic priorities.

Mentorship & Collaboration:

  • Share knowledge, best practices, and learnings with junior colleagues to enable their continuous development.

  • Close collaboration with other teams (SEO, CRM, Web, Design) to ensure a holistic marketing strategy.

  • Main point of contact for the concept and briefing of new creatives.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Provide clear updates on performance, learnings, and recommendations to the team lead and relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate with the team lead on strategic decisions and priority setting.

  • Collaborate with the team lead on strategic decisions and priority setting.

The team

Our marketing team brings together creative minds and data-driven specialists. You’ll work closely with three Content & Organic colleagues as well as our Performance Marketing Lead. Together, we’re gradually building a strong in-house marketing function — and you’ll be part of this journey without needing to shoulder everything at once.

As we transition responsibilities from our external agency back into the team, you’ll contribute your expertise where it creates the most impact. Your primary focus will be one of the channels Paid Search or Paid Social and you will support the other one. You’ll also have the chance to experiment with additional channels.

The requirements

Essential:

  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in performance marketing with a proven track record in either Paid Search or Paid Social campaigns and basic knowledge of the other as well as openness to contribute across new channels

  • Deep strategic understanding of auction dynamics, bidding strategies, audience segmentation, and attribution models.

  • Excellent analytical skills and experience working with large datasets.

  • Experience in planning and evaluating complex A/B tests.

  • Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on in execution.

  • Fluency in German is required.

Bonus:

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Looker)

  • Experience mentoring less experienced colleagues.

  • Relevant background in fintech or lending.

The culture

At iwoca, we prioritise a culture of learning, growth, and support, and invest in the professional development of our team members. We value thought and skill diversity, and encourage you to explore new areas of interest to help us innovate and improve our products and services.

  • Plenty of drinks and snacks in our offices.

We offer a wide range of benefits:

  • Medical insurance from Vitality, including discounted gym membership

  • Paid volunteering day to support your chosen charity
