The Opportunity:

At commercetools, we are a mission-driven organization in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Our People Operations team plays a crucial role in ensuring every employee has the support and resources they need to succeed. 

We are seeking a Senior People Operations Partner to join our dynamic team. As our Senior People Operations Partner, you will enhance employee experience by providing administrative and operational support, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and optimizing HR processes.

Your Mission:

  • Act as the go-to person for all HR-related matters for employees in the United Kingdom and Netherlands
  • Prepare payroll for the United Kingdom and Netherlands entities and collaborate with external payroll providers. Additionally, support payroll and contract management for other entities.
  • Assist with operational HR processes across other commercetools entities, including Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Australia, and Singapore.
  • Work closely within our People department and other departments to simplify processes, review policies, and keep them up to date.
  • Oversee all aspects of employee administration, ensuring efficient and compliant processes.
  • Identify and implement improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce administrative burdens.
  • Take on additional responsibilities for payroll, contracts, and terminations for an additional entity as allocated by the team.

What you need to succeed:

  • Strong knowledge of UK labor and social security laws
  • Experience in performing payroll preparation in the United Kingdom
  • A confident presence with a strong focus on service
  • Exceptional organizational talent with the ability to work independently and reliably, and manage deadlines effectively
  • High level of personal initiative and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
  • Ability to operate with a global perspective and manage HR processes across multiple regions
  • Experience in managing change and driving continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in managing the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a positive employee experience
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality HR services
  • Curiosity and a growth-oriented mindset to develop creative, practical solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with sound judgment
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex processes to stakeholders at all levels
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, capable of handling continuous evolution and change

  • Experience working in HR across different countries
  • Familiarity with various Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
