Vantage is seeking a meticulous and strategic Payroll Manager who is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll across Asia-Pacific region. This role manages payroll operations in compliance with local regulations, collaborates with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and drives continuous improvement in payroll processes to support regional and global business. You’ll be the go-to person for payroll expertise while driving projects that elevate our workforce experience in a diverse, dynamic regional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries within the APAC region, ensuring compliance with local tax, social security, and labor laws.

  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure payroll accuracy, policy alignment, and effective reporting.

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of payroll taxes, statutory reports, and year-end documentation.

  • Maintain and update payroll systems and records, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.

  • Lead payroll audits and support internal/external audits by providing required documentation and insights.

  • Implement and monitor controls to reduce payroll errors and mitigate risks.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and scalability.

  • Stay current on regulatory changes affecting payroll in each country within the region.

  • Manage employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits, ensuring high levels of customer service.

  • Generate payroll-related reporting for internal teams and leadership

  • Serve as a primary point-of-contact for employee payroll inquiries across the region

  • Partner with HR and business leaders to align payroll processes with operational goals

  • Support onboarding with a focus on payroll setup, benefit enrolment, and Workday configuration

  • Drive continuous improvement projects related to payroll systems, data accuracy, and reporting

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Bachelor’s

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll, ideally within a regional APAC scope

  • Knowledge of employment regulations across multiple APAC countries

  • Experience working with outsourced payroll vendors and cloud-based payroll systems

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • · Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive data with discretion.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in Workday or comparable HRIS tools

  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills for data management and reporting

  • Industry experience in tech, data centers, or fast-paced environments a plus

Preferred:

  • Payroll certification (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional or equivalent).

  • Experience in a multinational or shared services environment.

  • Familiarity with regional employment law and benefits practices.
