You’ll be responsible for future-proofing our payroll infrastructure by implementing automation, refining variable compensation structures, and driving strategic improvements that support Superside’s rapid growth. If you love the challenge of building best-in-class payroll systems in a dynamic, high-growth environment, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Take ownership of a global payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely payments to 700+ Supersiders across 60+ countries.
  • Oversee accurate and timely monthly payroll processing, including recalculations and reviews of complex variable compensation structures. Conduct payroll variance analysis and identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and strengthen payroll operations. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance and manage external audit responses.
  • Maintain, upgrade, and implement payroll systems and software. Collaborate with HR, finance, and management to resolve payroll-related issues and provide guidance.
  • Implement cutting-edge payroll tech and automation to minimize manual work and streamline global payment processes.
  • Leverage AI-driven insights to optimize variable compensation structures, aligning incentives with company objectives.
  • Reimagine payroll operations to handle rapid workforce growth, evolving regulations, and complex contractor models.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • 3+ years of hands-on global payroll experience, ideally in high-growth startups or international companies.
  • Expertise in payroll automation or AI-driven solutions, with a track record of implementing scalable processes.
  • Deep understanding of complex variable compensation models, including commission-based and performance-linked structures.
  • Proficiency in data analysis (Excel or Google Sheets) to track trends and drive payroll decisions.
  • Self-starter mentality—comfortable leading initiatives, solving complex problems, and thriving in fast-changing environments.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working across Finance, HR, and Tech to align payroll with company goals.
  • Obsessed with optimization, always looking for smarter, faster ways to run payroll at scale.
