Job Description

Local and alternative payment methods (APMs) play a crucial role in helping businesses around the world reach customers in ways that are tailored to each of hundreds of different markets. This value comes with immense complexity as each payment method is intricate and dynamic. The payment specialist will play a key role in the end to end delivery for launching new payment methods, as well as in ongoing maintenance.

For new payment methods, the Payment Specialist will work with a range of cross-functional teams including engineering, accounting and treasury to lay out testing plans, complete provider certification, set up and troubleshoot settlement reconciliations, analysing and implementing ways to reduce reconciliation breaks. For existing payment methods, whether it's a feature based on commercial request or driven by payment methods, the Payment Specialist will be responsible for gathering the required information and presenting it to the product team with a clear description of the implementation and interpretation of the APM rules and their recommendations.

Payment Specialists will also be responsible for disseminating payments knowledge throughout the organization making sure that merchant facing teams have the required information to be able to answer merchant queries. This will also require them to support internal operations teams in maintaining and troubleshooting a range of operations such as merchant onboarding, settlements and reconciliation.

This role is based out of our London office and requires 3 days a week onsite.
