ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Paid Media Manager sits within the Paid Media team and plays a senior role in delivering high-quality performance media across Paid Social and Paid Search.

This role combines strong hands-on delivery with people leadership. You will lead Paid Media activity across platforms including Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, Reddit, Snapchat, Pinterest And Microsoft Ads.

You will line manage Paid Media Executives and work closely with other Senior Managers to support learning and development, set clear standards, promote innovation and knowledge sharing, and foster a positive and cohesive team environment.

You will also work closely with the Head of Media Strategy and the Paid Media Director within your client group to deliver against wider team and client objectives, ensuring activity is aligned with agreed strategy, best practice, and business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign Management & Strategy

  • Lead end to end campaign setup, optimisation, and reporting across search and social platforms
  • Take ownership of Paid Social & Paid Search strategy across your client portfolio, ensuring activity aligns with client KPIs, budgets, and wider objectives
  • Plan, execute and report on activity across Paid Social & Paid Search activity
  • Conduct audience, keyword, creative, and competitor analysis to inform channel planning and optimisation
  • Develop integrated cross-channel media plans in collaboration with Paid Media specialists and senior team members
  • Translate platform and third-party analytics into clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Champion efficient and scalable ways of working, driving streamlined practices and processes
  • Promote the practical use of automation, AI, and testing frameworks to improve performance and efficiency
  • Stay up to date with platform updates, new features, and betas, sharing relevant learnings with the Paid Media team
  • Support onboarding and account setup, ensuring best practice delivery from the outset.

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients on Paid Social and Paid Search performance
  • Lead campaign reporting, insight sharing, and tactical recommendations
  • Confidently contribute to strategic discussions alongside the Paid Media Director, and Client Account team
  • Escalate risks, opportunities, and strategic considerations appropriately.

Line Management

  • Line manage Paid Media Executives, ensuring workloads are balanced and delivery standards are met
  • Run regular 1:1s, provide feedback, and support individual development plans
  • Work closely with other Senior Managers to align on team standards, ways of working, and priorities
  • Support learning and development within the team through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing
  • Promote collaboration, innovation, and a positive team culture
  • Act as a role model for best practice in delivery, communication, and client management.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive a culture of operational excellence, ensuring the team works smarter, not harder, as account complexity and scale increase
  • Oversee all budget activity across Paid Search and Paid Social on your accounts, including budget recommendations, pacing and billing
  • Conduct regular audits to improve performance
  • Leverage automation tools, scripts, and data feeds to support operational efficiency
  • Contribute to internal best practice documentation, new business pitches, and internal training initiatives
  • Maintain high standards of delivery through quality assurance and adherence to best practice across all campaigns.

Requirements

As part of our dynamic team, you’ll need to demonstrate the following:

  • 4-5+ years of Paid Search & Paid Social experience - agency experience desirable
  • Strong expertise across Google Ads (Search, PMax and/or Demand Gen) and Microsoft Ads
  • Strong experience working across Paid Social platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit and Pinterest
  • Proven experience line managing and developing Paid Media Executives
  • Confident in bringing a team together, setting expectations, and supporting learning and development
  • Skilled in campaign planning, execution, reporting, and performance analysis (e.g., GA4)
  • Confident in planning, executing and reporting on full funnel digital campaigns
  • Strong communicator with the confidence to lead client conversations and presentations
  • Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office, particularly Sheets/Excel and Slides/PowerPoint
  • A proactive, curious, and collaborative mindset with a passion for digital marketing.
