The Global Addressable Media team is working across London and Amsterdam, delivering digital media services to connect brands with consumers via best-in-class digital ad experiences and drive sustainable growth. We believe in the core principle of Value for All, by leading the transformation of the digital advertising industry so it creates an honest, clear & meaningful value exchange for our people, clients, society, consumers and the media industry. Together with 100 like-minded colleagues we run digital campaigns for advertisers over 50+ markets around the world. Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead our Paid Search & Social capability by providing best-in-class innovative work for our clients and represent and share this work in the Addressable Media Community (including leadership across our P6 and E10 markets).

The Senior Paid Media Director (Search & Social) will lead our Paid Search & Social capability on all pillars of our Global Addressable OKR including; solutions, commercials, product, talent, operational excellence, and community and thought leadership (more detail in key accountabilities). The Senior Paid Media Director (Search & Social) will work in close partnership with the other Capability leaders on Programmatic, Performance Marketing, and Search to develop our cross-channel strategy. In addition he/she will work with the global addressable leadership team on the various pillars in the Global Addressable OKR.

What are you going to achieve?

The Senior Paid Media Director (Search & Social):

• Has a core responsibility to lead and shape our Paid Search & Social capability in a fast-pace developing industry. By truly understanding the industry landscape and developments, and our evolving client needs you define leading innovative paid search & social services enabled by a great culture and strong talent that help our clients and our business grow.

Strategic Solutions – partners with our head of Addressable Media Solutions with the shaping of our capability into client-centric solutions by integrating and packaging our search & social capability. Represents our search & social capability in pitches.

Commercials – partners with our Client growth & business development Director on a commercial strategy for our search & social capability – including client- and supply side revenue – and with this supports our commercial targets on OM and OM%.

Product – Informs our integrated product team with the required tools and products to deliver best-inclass  search & social services. Takes a leading role in the assessment and consultancy on suitable social Platforms & Partnerships.

Talent – leads the translation of the search & social capability to our wider Addressable Talent Framework including required capabilities, training and certification of search & social roles by level. Supports our talent recruitment and retention of social talent.

Operational excellence – defines what good looks like by partnering with our Operations Director on the representation of search & social in campaign processes to protect quality assurance and playbooks.

Community & thought leadership – Represents our Paid Social Capability and facilitate information and resource sharing (case studies, interesting articles) in our teams and in the Global Addressable Media Community. You are our search & social thought leader – develop 2 content pieces annually and with this drive innovation.

• Enables high performing teams, ensuring best practice as well as improving processes and procedures to enhance delivery capabilities.

• Taking an active role in developing the search & social team’s talent as well as assessing needs.

• Representing Dentsu new business pitches, contributes to pricing structures and attending sales meetings when needed to actively contribute to product and business strategy.

• Maximizing on internal knowledge-sharing, aligning goals with the direction of the wider company to capitalize on competitive advantages.
 

Who are you?

  • You have 7+ years’ experience in digital marketing and paid search and/or social media advertising, including previous roles such as Paid Social / Search Media Manager, Paid Social /Search Media Lead, Paid Social /Search Partner etc.;
  • You have leadership and management skills by leading a team.
  • You have proven experience with developing and executing paid social media advertising strategies that align with the organization's overall business objectives and our global clients;
  • You are up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in digital advertising and primarily Paid social media;
  • You have experience with building and maintaining a network;
  • You are extremely  passionate about (paid) search & social media and able to inspire people and have the right approach on a global level;
  • You have a deep understanding of the industry landscape and developments, and moreover our evolving client needs. You are a leader that will help us to define our innovative paid search & social enabled by a great culture and strong talent that help our clients and our business grow;
  • You are an exceptional communicator; is able and confident to represent our capability to internal- and external stakeholders;
  • You have proven track record on thought leadership; participated in panels, published articles etc..
