Our friendly and knowledgeable team provides high-quality IT support and services to schools, and as we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Senior Onsite IT Engineer to join us.

The Role


As a Senior Onsite IT Engineer, you’ll be the face of eduthing, working directly onsite within our schools and building strong relationships with staff while providing a fantastic level of technical support.

No two days are quite the same. You’ll be troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues, carrying out installations and upgrades, maintaining systems and helping schools get the best from their technology.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong technical knowledge, enjoys solving problems and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.


The varied nature of the role means we’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive and able to think outside the box. You’ll be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of issues, while also collaborating closely with our wider IT and school teams when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
  • Install, upgrade, configure and repair IT equipment and systems.
  • Maintain and monitor systems to help ensure optimum performance and security.
  • Take ownership of technical issues and work through them to resolution.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve more complex issues and improve system functionality.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with school staff, providing timely updates and recommendations.
  • Assist with the configuration, deployment and testing of new technology.
  • Provide friendly, practical support and guidance to end users on hardware and software.
  • Build positive working relationships with the schools and staff you support.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, hardware and networking.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • The confidence to work independently and take ownership of technical issues.
  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused approach.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
