This role is a 12 Month FTC

At Thredd, we’re redefining what’s possible in payments. As a Senior Network Engineer on a 12 month FTC, you will take ownership of designing, implementing, and operating our network infrastructure to ensure secure, high-performing, and reliable connectivity across all environments. You’ll play a critical role in building scalable network solutions and driving best practices in both cloud and on-premise networking.

 

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in enterprise networking architecture and operations within cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Strong expertise with AWS networking, Palo Alto Networks, and Cisco infrastructure.
  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), firewall policies, and traffic engineering.
  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Familiarity with certificate management, PKI, and cryptographic standards.
  • Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and collaborate across departments.
  • Knowledge of ISO27001 and PCI-DSS compliance requirements.

Preferred Certifications

  • Palo Alto PCNSE
  • Cisco CCNA or CCNP
  • AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty (desirable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and manage AWS, Palo Alto Networks, and Cisco-based solutions that deliver high performance and secure networking.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code pipelines in Terraform for network deployments.
  • Design and enforce network security policies across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Implement multi-cloud and hybrid cloud networking solutions that ensure seamless communication between systems.
  • Monitor and optimise cloud network performance and resolve network-related issues.
  • Automate provisioning and management tasks to improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead the adoption of cloud-native networking technologies such as AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards including CIS, NIST, ISO27001, and PCI-DSS.
  • Drive implementation of Zero Trust Architecture and secure network design.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex networking issues and implement disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
