Why be a Senior National Account Manager at Myprotein?

We are looking for a commercially driven Senior National Account Manager to lead and grow Myprotein’s presence within the UK Convenience channel. This role will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships with key convenience retailers and wholesale groups, delivering sustainable sales growth, and expanding distribution across a fast-growing category.

The successful candidate will have strong FMCG or consumer health experience, a proven track record managing national retail accounts, and the ability to build long-term customer relationships in a highly competitive market.

As a Senior National Account Manager (Convenience) you will:
  • Own and manage key Convenience channel accounts including symbol groups, wholesalers, travel retail, and impulse-focused retailers.
  • Deliver annual sales, profit, and distribution targets across the channel.
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) aligned to wider commercial objectives.
  • Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, promotional plans, new listings, and range reviews.
  • Identify growth opportunities within protein, wellness, functional nutrition, and snacking categories.
  • Work closely with category, marketing, supply chain, and demand planning teams to optimise account performance.
  • Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer insights to drive commercial decision-making.
  • Manage forecasting and promotional planning to maximise availability and minimise risk.
  • Build strong relationships with buyers, category managers, and key decision-makers across the convenience landscape.
  • Support the expansion of Myprotein’s retail footprint within emerging convenience and impulse channels.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
  • Proven experience in National Account Management within FMCG, sports nutrition, beverages, health & wellness, or snacking categories.
  • Strong understanding of the UK Convenience retail landscape.
  • Experience managing major convenience, wholesale, or impulse retail accounts.
  • Demonstrated success delivering revenue growth and commercial targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting capability.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercially minded with an entrepreneurial approach to growth opportunities.

Desirable Experience

  • Existing relationships with UK convenience retailers and wholesalers.
  • Experience within challenger brands or high-growth businesses.
  • Knowledge of sports nutrition, functional health, or performance products.
  • Experience working with Booker, Co-op, Spar, WHSmith Travel, Bestway, or similar retail groups.
